It permitted me to build an extremely powerful lighting system, which also provides me a 12 v. power supply. He also provides diagrams and in-depth information on building light weight systems. All rechargeable. After going through the information, most anyone could design and construct a lighting system suitable to their needs at great cost savings.

He also discusses commercially available systems.

No problem. It was a great help to me, and I equipped my wife's bike and my own for about $170 - 35 watt MR16 headlights, automobile tailights, xenon flashers and 7.5aH SLA batteries. Add a couple more bucks for solder and shrink tube.

Interesting information about the MR16 vs MR11. If MR16s are so much more efficient, why do all the major lighting manufacturers use MR11? They're not that much bigger or heavier...

Beats the heck out of me. Perhaps the MR11s are more cost efficient for the manufacturers(?). When I was looking for MR16 bulbs, however, I just went to Home Depot and they had a wide selection. They didn't carry MR11s in stock.

I'll see if I can take a photo tonight, but that small lamp lights up a lot scenery.

I believe the site is operated by a BF member, but I can't recall his username. It is revised periodically to reflect technology advances (hid, led).

I agree, it's a very useful site.
