Good afternoon.

My wife and I are by no means endurance bikers. We are mor of the leisurly ride around the lake or neighborhood types and have been talking about recumbents for a littel bit now.

We also have one additional member of our family, Frankie, a 22 lb miniature schnuazer that we woudl love to take with us.

Personally, I am very interested in a trike with the single wheel upfront, and wanted to know if anyone knows of any pet trailer, or even a specialized hitch for trikes that can be used with a traditional pet trailer.

I'm surprised I haven't run across any ingenious modifications out there that would address this. It seems all pet trailers I have come across are for traditional bikes.

Any links would be appreciated.

Thanks,

-Jayson

You could put a pet travel crate on a cargo trailer. If Frankie is well behaved, you could also put him in a child trailer, or maybe even on the cargo trailer with just a doggie bed.

I picked up this kids trailer, and we use it to haul around our short-legged dog, who gets tired after 2 blocks of walking. On this particular occassion, my wife (pictured) and I were riding in a bike parade.

We have a harness around the dog's body, and then a clip is attached to that to keep her secure.
