I just acquired a Kona Kula 29er frameset. I am building it to do double duty as both a geared bike with front suspension and as a single speed rigid bike. I want to have 2 front wheel and fork set-ups. Anyone have any recommendations for a rigid fork. I have seen the Kona P2 fork and Misfits Cycles makes an ALU one. Past those anyone with experience? I am a fast Clydesdale thats not hard on equipment.

you want steel (vicious cycles, IF, Niner )

or Carbon (White Bros, Pace, On One)

budget?

Edit: I see you are a clydesdale so I would go for Steel. I would steer clear of aluminum.

Thanks for the recommendations. I think I am going with the White Bros. Cheers.

White bros has a 235 pound weight limit, just an FYI since you mentioned you were a clyde

I'm 240# and my On-One Superlight (steel) is an excellent fork. Of course I did take it off and install a Reba Race, but when it was installed, I rather liked it.

Yeah...I saw that. I am only 220 though and am not typically hard on my equipment. I have a Reba as well for the tough stuff.

Since a Karate Monkey comes with a rigid fork that a lot of people don't use, I'd bet you could find them cheap on ebay.
