Mountain Biking - Best hydro disc brakes for $200 or less (pair)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I'm used to V brakes and caliper brakes. I had some crappy mechanical disc brakes on my last beater bike and I hated them.
Can anyone make any recommendations? I'm looking at the Avid Juicy 5's... they fit into my budget, but I'm not sure if this is a good choice.

Phatman, How long have you had the Shimano LX and how do you like them? I just bought a bike 2 weeks ago and they came on the bike. My back break is already giving me problems because of a small wash out going down a hill.

I've had the shimano LX's all summer. They are really good. they're not super light, but the modulation is better than juicys. I really like them a lot, and the price cannot be beat.
my juicy 5's seem great! you should be able to find deals for less than 200. don't be afraid to get a left over model

Man, you really shouldn't be riding with a broken back.

No rotor stays true. With the right crash they all warp.
Mine do not squeal
