Hi I am juwanewa (Julia) and the wife of slowjoe66.
I ride a Raleigh Passage 3.0 this is a hybrid, that may look a little grandmaish, but I love it. It is very comfortable all the way around. I have been riding off and on for the past couple of years, either the bicycle or the exercise bike. I have ridden 2,237.2 miles from Jan 06 - Aug.07 that is a mixture of the bicycle and exercise bike. My husband just got back from cycling the Oregon coast, and he had a blast. ( I couldn't go this year because he had 3 weeks of vacation and I only had 2 this year) Now I am planning on touring with him next summer and am excited about. So this year I am going to get as much riding in as possible.

I am a mother of 2 (16 year old boy, 12 year old girl) We have 2 dogs and 1 cat.

Hello Julia, is your avatar a composite of the two dogs and one cat (just joking :D )?

As long as you are comfortable on the bike, who cares how it looks? What counts is if you're having fun!

Welcome to BF!

Thanks for the warm welcome!!

That is funny, my aviator is one of my favorites...though I think that dog has seen better days.
I like to think that it is a little bit of me, not so beautiful from the world standards, but in my own eyes I am and I just smile away!!

:)

That's a wise way to look at the world!

Plenty of pretty people who turn out to be not so pretty inside--I'd rather know the person who's beautiful inside--and who enjoys riding bikes :D .
