Zabriskie doesn't care anymore.*

Or else he wants to just be satisfied with his Captain America TT champion jersey for another year.

He seemed so burned out at the Tour this year. Hopefully he gets his mojo back with Slipstream.

that wasn't necessarily burnout. remember, he had an injury.

True. But, if it were me, I'd find it hard to get up in the morning to train if I had an injury which was essentially caused by my team manager making me switch shoes, and throwing my career to the wind to meet the demands of a non-title/minor sponsor. Nothing quite says "We care, Dave" like that.

Luckily he can wear whatever the hell he wants with Slipstream.

And, even if it was burnout, it was probably to be expected, seeing as how he had ridden the Giro (where he rode hard, and spent the first part of the race near the overall lead) and the Dauphiné Libéré (where he finished fifth). For a guy who is just making the transition from time trial specialist to all-'rounder, I can imagine that adding a successful Tour onto that was a tall order.

He's saying he *didn't* win it.

It was joke on the international hand signal for "loser" but yeah as a Swiss, he's a polyglot...

He will probably go with BMX pedals and Vans. :)

The French count by the same method (in hand signals) - at least, in my personal (and extensive) experience.

Look at the margin of victory! Nobody was even close. Cancellara is a machine.

Ninjas couldn't beat him.

After his TdF performance, is anyone suprised? Until he gets caught doping, he's the man!

(sorry, I'm a bit of a cynic :))

Or maybe he's off the program in preparation for his new team?

^^Stolen from Velonews forum but it did get me thinking.

Is there a Time Trial field that this guy won't demolish? I wonder how he would have done in the first TT during the Tour in dry conditions.
