Yesterday Feltup broke his Trek 4300 frame in a crash. Does Trek have a crash trade in program?

Email them, their customer support is fantastic!

They will almost certainly want you to go through the LBS Trek dealer who
will query the factory. Most likely rep will look at frame and affidavit of events
and render an opinion. As Aggressor said, customer support is good and
they will respond. They may repair the frame, replace frame or sell new frame at reduced price depending on their judgement. When I got my OCLV 5000 in '97, warranty was to original owner "for life". This may differ now or for the 4300. Al is harder to repair. Steve

Well Trek is going to receive the frame from the LBS for warranty evaluation. If it is not covered by the warranty they will giv him $14.95 towards the purchase of a new frame. However the only framesets they sell individually start at $650. He has decided to order a frame from supergo for $150 and then send in the Trek frame. That way he only has to go a few days without a bike.

Please keep us posting about how the "evaluation" goes.
