Electric Bikes - Yahoo Groups - E Motor Assist Forum

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Does anyone else subscribe to this? If you do, are you disappointed with the information shared and the personal attacks the forum moderator allows and conducts himself occassionally?
Currently he is on about the holocaust. Not a suitable subject for a bike thread. Other members commonly insult one another and call each other names. Most of them claim to run e bike businesses, but I no longer buy from those guys since I now get to see how much they hold the ebike business and their customers in complete disdain.
Any thoughts? I'm certainly glad this forum is not run this way.

Heh, yep!
I've subscribed to that list some years ago, looked through the messages and unsubscribed. I have to say, a certain Mr. Goldberg managed to disgust me to the point of completely turning me off from things Crystalyte... But if nothing else it's quite instructive to see people's real faces.
But more useful is the Power-Assist Yahoo group (http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/power-assist/). It has quite a rich archive of posts that goes back seven years, but finding what you want tends to be quite tedious. Unfortunately some trolls are allowed to spam there, othewise it's well worth reading if you care about power-assist bike related stuff.

Isnt e-motor assist group just a bunch of old fat guys who ride
trikes and then argue about the best trike, or is that power assist I'm thinking of?

Apparently not all those folks ride ebikes: seems like some of them put on their spandex, grab their road bike, and go out for donuts (see pic).
The big advantage of this site relative to that list is the Ignore function!
I gave up on that list long ago. I was delighted to see this forum here. The other one I've found helpful is:
