I took a spin early this morning and if the weather up there is anything like today, I'll skip the fleecy stuff and just stick with layers.
(Bibshorts + knee warmers + baselayer + BF jersey + arm warmers)

I'm probably going with my usual:

tights (but not fleece)
base layer (not fleece)
arm warmers
light wind jacket

Solvang can be chilly. But this is my favroite riding weather and I don't mind stripping layers if need be.

My arm warmers?:)
No. I already gave them to a cold lone cyclist I ran into on my solo, lonely ride recently. You don't like me anymore and the sight of your arm warmers would bring me to tears.

Convincing? :p :D

Just think Dan, it'll be 80 degrees and sunny for the Tour in Tucson the following weekend if that helps any.:D:D

Not at 6:00 in the morning, when everyone starts to line up. It's usually in the 40's and then gets to 80 by mid-day. Besides me who is doing the Tour de Tucson?

Since I'm doing Tucson next weekend, I'm glad to hear you aren't going be pushing it. Starting @ 7:30, can I count on that since I'm driving up Saturday morning. It means a little extra sleepl

Fatbagging and sandbagging in the same post. Excellent. Now try getting both into the same sentence. I know you can do it.

Fine.

My BIG, FAT, BLUBBER, LARD ass needs a tow rope tied to it and hauled by at least five large men to get it up any hill and preferably a cow prod to boot, as I look, smell and sound like a two-ton heifer.

There. I FAT-SMELL-SANDbagged and all in one sentence. Happy?:p

Just got done cleaning Sacha. Her wheels are back on, white bar tape is sparkling, her chain is cleaned and oiled, her tires checked over and her skin is gleaming with a nice coat of carbon polish. Garmin's charged, Hammer gel flask filled, cell phone charged... ready to go! :)
