i am looking for those sugino cranks that come on the bianchi san jose. the black sugino xd, but with that nifty bash guard. it would fit perfectly... does anyone know where i can find them with the guard?

No email for me, yet, but if I recall from the other IRO group buy, it took a couple of days for all of them to go out.

I got my notification this afternoon! Tony says probably March 11. I e-mailed back to find out if they would install the headset. I have all the parts and tools to otherwise finish the build. It will arrive about the time I get back from spring break. Spring hasn't quite arrived to Reno and maybe I'll have a late snowstorm to try it out.

You know how there was discount code to mark the frame down $300, well I ordered two frames but the code only discounted one of them. Did this happen to anyone else?

Tony mentioned on the IRO site that he'll take care of it if you didn't put in the code in but I'm curious if this happened to anyone else. I hope there's not going to be a charging fiasco.....

I missed the discount code on the first group buy. I called them up and they fixed it right. It took a few days to show up on my credit card as credited back to me but it was a very clean process. As long as you have talked to them I would guess that you'll be okay.

I guess that's because Tony ships UPS. The only inexpensive way to get something across the border is through the postal service, otherwise it's just a ****ing scam.

does anyone happen to know what the time was for the first group buy from order to receiving the frames??

it took like 2 days for mine to go from in a box in tony's living room (or whatever) to my front door. if he's shipping a bunch friday, obviously sometime in the week after.
granted, i only live a state away.

All the frames on the IRO site spec 27.2mm. I can only assume this one will be the same...

I know the seatpost size is 27.2, but the seatpost clamp (binder) size is what I am looking for.

I am pretty sure the seatpost clamp size is 30.0mm

somebody posted it on this thread awhile ago and I am pretty sure it is.

would hate for you to pluck down the $ on a salsa lip lock and have it be the wrong price..

btw that pic you showed above is how I am buildong my frame up too, all black, silver components and avocet o2 saddle....that is if they ever get here ;)

dug up an old IRO thread and Tony said it was 29.8mm, so 30.mm is it...

I used a Salsa 30mm liplock seatpost clamp on the first IRO groupbuy. It should be the same.

Update: it was an automagically generated UPS estimate (that's way too high as UPS is evil - we all know that though). Tony's going to ship it USPS to Canada and all will be good.

I thought it was really high to Canada, so I had it shipped to my parents in the US. It's going to be very inconvenient for me to get it though. How much is he charging you to ship to Canada by USPS? I wonder if it's too late to change...

He's going to give me a specific quote when it's ready to go (I just replied to the email today). It would vary by a lot of you were getting just the f/s or a complete bike. If the bike hasn't shipped already you may want to call him up and see what your options are.

I ordered mine with two separate orders, using the discount code twice. There wasn't a discount on shipping, so this seemed the easiest way for me and for Tony.

I also ordered 2 frames. I just left a comment that the $300 discount wasn't applied to the 2nd frame. I checked my credit card account yesterday and they took care of it. Shipping was $48 together instead of $31 each (for $62 total).

just got my tracking number, will have in my grubby paws next week....yoo hoo!!!
