I've been posting for a few weeks in the C&V/Clydesdale boards but never bothered to introduce myself. I'm glad to have found this place.

I'm really starting to get into biking again, after a long hiatus. When I was 13 I had a pretty good accident and scared myself from riding for 14 years, and weight problems over the following decade didn't help either. I've gotten into vintage bikes and just bought my first road bike. I have to admit that my riding experience is very limited, mostly to quieter roads. I'm thinking of taking one of REI's Road Cycling courses to get me more confident for longer rides, does anyone have any experience with these?

Hello Yogurt, I know you have seen my name over in C & V!

I have not taken REI's Road Cycling courses--in fact, I did not know they offered such a thing. Which is odd, because I live in an area where there are quite a few REIs. In fact, I just rode by their headquarters this morning! I think I will have to check into this...

Anyway, Welcome to BF!
