Mountain Biking - What stem cap should I buy?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Well, c'mon. There are so many choices . . . .
And no, I'm not going to tell you how much I want to spend or what kind of riding I intend to do with it.
I found a really cool site called stemcapsdirect.com where you can buy a stem cap that retails for 5.99 for 1.99 with free shipping. I got my stem cap there after looking at their sizing charts and I have to say, I'm far more satisfied with this stem cap than with the stem cap that came with my Trek Top Fuel. I would definately reccomend this site to anyone looking for a great quality stem cap at an excellent price!

Cane Creek makes a cap that will take anything you can throw at it!

After I install the stem, I remove the stem cap and punch out the star nut to save weight. Everyone else should do it too, it's awesome.

I know a bunch of kids that have Norco stem caps. They are not suitable for jumping though.
You should test ride some and see for yourself.
Oh yeah, Niner makes a stem cap that compares to any stem cap out there!

then how much should i expect to spend on a good stem cap? i just bought a new bike and i'm using the one that came on my cane creek headset, but it's probably not good enough. do they make any stem caps out of carbon fiber or titanium?
please tell me who is a good brand to get. i don't want people making fun of me on the trails. :(
by the way, the links didn't work.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, thats not a Fisher.
I know a bunch of kids that have Norco stem caps. They are not suitable for jumping though. But I heard that a Norco stem cap took the Cranworx Slopestyle Competition this year. That's gotta say something for their jump-worthiness.
I personally want a Staples 'Easy-button' stem cap - - that actually works. There's a 20' gap-double at Beacon that I want to launch.

Cool. My '98 Fisher Joshua had that same cap. It was fun to stare at it and read it on long, boring road climbs when I should have been watching where I was going.
Now I have an ultra-exclusive cap made from materials mined on Jupiter. It weighs negative-250 grams and I've noticed I can easily cut 2.3 seconds off a 40-mile ride.
