Does anyone else have any horror stories out there about Performance using FedEx for delivery. Is it just FedEx located in Newburgh, NY. I would really be interested. I'm not looking for anything other than if it just a few isolated incidents of non delivery, and Performance not looking to readily refund for their shippers non performance.

Yes, their Fedex\USMail delivery process sucks. Hate it and will not use it ever again. They send a package from NC north to West Virgina south to Orlando and then back north to Jacksonville. They pass my friggin house on the way to Orlando, just throw it out on the way will ya? What should have taken 2 days, takes 7.
I'm not sure that this is the place to complain.
I ordered from them twice in the last two weeks. Both times I ordered late Tuesday and got my package on Friday. I live on Long Island and had the packages delivered to work. I am very satisfied with that service.
Sorry you are experiencing problems.
I live in Japan. Active duty military. Up until January they shipped to APO/FPO via USPS Priority. It would take me 7-11 days to get an order. I just received my last order from them which took FIVE WEEKS to get here. I will be promptly returning as I was able to get all the stuff I needed from Excel Sports in about 5 days. To top it off I am (okay was, I just quit) a Team Performance member. What good is upgraded shipping if I still have to wait for an order.
I will not be ordering from Performance again.

It's most likely a problem with APO, not Performance. As I'm sure you know APO is famous for losing, misdirecting, and destroying things.
My first (and probably last) order took 11 days to go from North Carolina to Georgia. In my business I order from a NC warehouse daily and recieve my items the next day with UPS Ground service.
Performance is terrible.
Could you qualify that statement? If not, please delete it.
i bought a bike and had a warranty issue with the rear wheel. the ordered me a new one, which is great, but 10 business days later they don't have it. the bad thing about fed ex is that they do not give out tracking numbers or anything. try calling performance and asking for a tracking number and most likely they will bluntly say they don't have one or they will be confused and say they don't have one. ups is the king of all shipping, the friendly brown truck can get packaged from new york to california in 7 business days, and you always get a tracking number so you can watch your package go. simple as that. performance really has no idea how bad fed ex is nixing them
Performance have great items at great price. However, they are not customer friendly and their choice of using FedEx is really annoying. I am from Canada and on a $110 purchase, FedEx charged me $45 for duty, tax, and handling fee. A bit retarded ...and if tell Performance to ship it USPS, they will still ship FedEx..and you will end up w/ the bill...then you contact Performance, ask them to pay for you, they will eventually but its such a bugger~

A lot of companies got burned by the UPS strike one jillion years ago, and told them to get stuffed. B&H Photo probably spent in the tens of thousands a week on UPS, and would have been left with a ton of unshipped orders during the strike. So they switched to FedEx and never looked back. Not saying it's the same deal with Performance, just that UPS bit the hand that fed them, and consumers have had to pay the price.
