I think it's great and would like an avatar, but don't know how to get one. I favour the saltire (scottish flag)

is there somewher I can find out how to set one up?

If you go to your Profile, go to edit profile, then select change avatar at the bottom, you should be able to do it from there.

Why the Scottish Flag though...couldn't you use a haggis?

As an American of Scottish descent (MacIntosh [Eldon/Elder], Scott, Chisholm, MacDonald, MacPherson, etc.), I resemble that remark. The Clan Chisholm crest, with its motto, "Feros Ferio" ["I am fierce with the fierce"], seems suddenly and sadly appropriate.

I really like that "Real Patriots Ride Bikes" flag.
