Southern California - So Cal needs a long thread "What's Up?" type thread!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

BTW, on the topic of forum addictions, we aren't the ONLY ones. I am doing a search for classic horror films (and costumes) for my boss, and I came across this one. I love how a little skull rotates whenever there is a new message in a thread. :p http://monsterkidclassichorrorforum.yuku.com/forums/71/t/Murder-and-Mystery.html

How come the people that start these threads soon disappear from BF? I am wondering if it is a conspiracy by BF Management (aka "The Man") to suppress independent thought.

pretty-much. but there's a decent story to go along with all of the action. and there's something about a bullet-proof vest and an MP5 that makes jennifer garner like...REALLY hot.

I haven't seen the movie, but she was totally hot in Alias. At least until Mr. Ben Whofleck messed the whole thing up...

Beautiful morning for a ride! :)
30 miles in PV with only about 2400 ft. but much of it on double-digit grades. Didn't do my PB on Zumaya, but I did catch three guys on the Via del Monte downhill. They may have had 40 lbs on me, but my gal Sacha can corner like a.... a.... er... bunny rabbit? (I think rabbits can corner well). Sacha and I hit 42mph coming out of the hairpin, but the dudes dropped me when they put the hammer down going up the next rollers. Those darn manly muscles!

What's funny is that I was shooting to get my weight down to the 185-190 range!. Problem is I know it did not come off in a very healthy way, nor one in which it will stay off (probably lost more muscle than fat). And my energy level right now still sucks.

If it were me, I would just blow away the bikeforums cookie and start over.
it should be in "C:\Documents and Settings\your computer name\Cookies" and called "your computer name@@bikeforums[1].txt"
delete it (or rename it) then the next time you enter, it will create a new one if you do the "remember me" thinger.

Yesterday, I went for a workout session at work that involved minor trail running (< 1 mile) and some push-ups and stuff. I thought 1 year of cycling would've at least help a little but no. My legs are still much more tired & sore than after a century/double metric bike ride. :(

George: mine is working fine.
Thomson: hope your back feels better. :(
Mark: You'll get it back in no time.
Dave: I had the same thing happen after Sunday's walk/skip/run. I was dying! Last night I bought a new pair of running shoes. It was time as I haven't bought a new pair since 2005! I'm determined to start running (well, light jogging really as I don't have the knees for full on running). It's all about cross training and I need to start doing as such or I'm just going to become this big fat cyclist who needs extra water cages to prop my thigh fat on if I don't mix it up! :p So, maybe you, too, need new shoes? :D

Boy. So Cal is a ghost town today. Fine, I'll talk to myself.
ME: So, self, how's your day going? Anything interesting?
Self: Not a damn thing. Working my butt of at work and all. And I wish you'd knock this diet crap off and eat a burrito or something. The fat free cheese thing sucks.
ME: Well, self, I really am trying to whip it in gear. WE have a really tough ride this weekend up Baldy and I just know I'm going to be hurting on the lifts.
Self: Yeah, been meaning to talk to you about that. What the hell is wrong with you?
ME: I'm not sure, but I kind of dig that climb...puts hair on my chest.
Self: Yeah, I've been meaning to talk to you about THAT too...:p

If hair on the chest is an indicator of climbing, I sure have been climbing lots.
I really wanted to do Baldy this weekend. It was absolutely gorgeous from Mt Wilson last weekend. I hope you all have a good time there.

OMG! Someone IS on here. :p
Yeah, that sucks, Jim. :( But you know you'll be back up there as there will be countless oportunities to go up that mountain until it snows anyway. But it's predicted to be a "dry" winter.
