Not yet. Maybe a few more days. I just got the splint off, but the finger is still pretty messed up. Not riding is making me cranky.

Just got back from B&L in Solana Beach helping M buy a new tri bike (at 40% off!), and it was VERY windy. She was dodging falling palm fronds while trying to do her test ride!!

Ya, I was about ready to go for a ride in the "nice weather" today but I was all out of dust masks. I changed my mind about riding after I had to dodge large chunks of palm tree while going to dig for something in the girlie's car. A very dry and windy Esco is not a pleasant place.

Mmm, beer and jalepeno poppers: I think I'll have this for dinner every night.

Two rides today, 20 on the System Six and another 12 on the Pista. While the rest of LA is blowing away or on fire it's been really nice in Pasadena.

Red Sox/Indians series was intense. It probably won't be recognized as one of the historically great series, but it was incredible to watch, on many levels. (Although Buck-McCarver is a historically bad announcing team.)

I'm not a fan of the wind... My ride was cut short yesterday and today I woke up with the all-too-unpleasant feeling of allergies... Zyrtec > Allergies.

Looks like no ride for me this morning. I'm 1 mile north of the evac zone in north county, sd. The air is thick with smoke. Trees have fallen all over the place. The sky is kind of a murky orange color. eerie.

It's starting to look a little ominous here as well.

Rancho Santa Fe - 2 miles to the east of me - is getting the reverse 911 calls now. I'm starting to think about what I would take in case I have to evac. I still can't imagine the danger would come this far west.

Just took the dog outside to pee. The air is so thick with ash your eyes start burining in seconds.

There's almost no wind in the South Bay so I tried to go for a short run this morning.

I think I coughed up a lung. Splitting headache too.

When the sun came up, I could then see all the cars in street covered by a heavy blanket of dust and ash. :(

chaco it might be coming your way......it's heading down the del dios highway. My wifes parents got the evac call and they are in RB on the base of Black Mt. The winds are changing, the sun is blocked out now here. We have everything packed and just need to load up the one car and go.

The I-15 just opened back up, iduno for how long.....

The news conference said that there is a good chance it could hit the coast before it's all over. :(

Only Locked Thread I see (first page anyways) was started by a known duplicate-account which has been banned. Likely why it was locked. Mods out here in Texas are thinking of you all in SoCal dodging these fires. Stay safe and we're hoping for the best for all of you.

The fires are affecting everyone I know in So cal in some way.
From Evacs, to closed business, my work was almost a ghost town today with everything going
on.

There really hasn't been any smoke or ash in Pasadena, either, so if you're looking to ride some this week I'd recommend coming out this way.

I just saw where the Forest Service has closed the Angeles Crest use areas till fire hazard weather passes.
Roads (ACH at least) will be open to thru traffic.

Inside, fine. Good enough I even turned off the A/C and it's still fine. Outside, I haven't been outside for over 24 hours. :o I think I'll go find some lunch just so that I can get out and stretch.
