BTW, if you're timing your SDBC membership for some race, then don't do it last minute; at least not online. It took me a while to get the email and stuff after I did it online.

dude...would you stop riding already....cmon man....i have put on like 120 miles and made it nowhere...

Jeff...i am not sure if SDBC does but i know that Dewalt does...Ben just sent his stuff in and you get a portion of it back.

depending how much you want to race let me know and you might be able to join the team i am racing for...that's an if...i don't know if they are looking for anymore CAT 5's or not but i can ask for ya.

I should be able to race at least 2-3 a month, I know Crits were going off every other week or so without a HUGE drive. Road races were ALOT cheaper then MTB races, I can get in 3 road races for the price of 1 MTB event. If you can look into team that would be sweet. I'd like to be on a San Diego Team:D

I think we will be doing some MTB races too....we'll see and i'll pm ya when it comes down to it...we still have to get the kit together as there are some sponsors still coming in.

Has anyone seen the Volvo commercial where the family is driving SAG for the wife/mother as she's riding her Orbea down various roads? Great commercial.

yah I saw that last week, thought it was pretty cool, now only if I can get the wifey to SAG for me on my long rides:p

BTW, 2-3 more days of 50 miles for you and you come up on the list! I won't be riding until weekend comes along. :D

MTB races are DEAD!!! Went from 13 events 2 yrs ago to FIVE this past season and 1 of those was in Utah, the other was at Santa Barbra, 1 at Bonilli Park in San Dimas, and 2 up at big bear. Not to mention $50 entree fee + $5 for the one day Norba.

Best MTB races are in Jan at Southridge park in Fontana. Winter race series, event every 2 weeks, 6 events, goes from Mid Jan to Early March. Fun course and great people that put it on.

Ultra informal testing by lighting up my beige wall. My nite rover xtreme (halogen 16W) has a larger bright spot and side lighting than the Fenix (L2D 100 Q5). The Fenix is brighter though. Let me know when you want to try out the Fenix.

I got my Dinotte headlight and tailight (fast shipping!). I went for a short night ride on a local roadside trail. This light is pretty bright. You can go a moderate rate of speed with it. I understand now why many people prefer helmet mounted lights off road.

Mounting system is genius. 100% tool-less and takes only a few seconds. Surprisingly solid. I now kind of wish I bought two headlights.

That's the reason I got the Fenix actually. Good for backup as well as for normal flashlight use. :)

I have a nite rover as well, not sure on the model but sounds about the same as yours. Either way I can't use it on the Bianchi cuz it has the FSA wing bars. Lets do a nite ride this week, either tonight or tomorrow on the 56 bike trail where it's SAFE:D

How about tomorrow night on 56 bike path (or do you mean unpaved trail)?

Anyone else want to join? :D

on the 56 paved bike path, there is a small parking lot off Carmel Country Road of the 56, The dirt lot is on the North side of the 56, right were the AID stop was for the Tour de Poway. Say meet like 5:30-5:45 and ride at 6?

Isn't it south of 56? Google-wise, intersection of CCRd and Shaw Valley Rd?

5:30/5:45 and rolling at 6pm sounds good. I'll go get some AA rechargeables from Walmart today. I don't think my Y2000 1400mAH hi-capacity batteries are up to the task.

I'll bring my night rover, fenix and the 200L so you can do a comparison. While I'd like to see your new bike, you may want to bring your single speed so that I can keep up. 1 round trip to Penasquitos is about 1 hr for me.

If it's Gay Bar by Electric 6, and brilliantly put to animation by the folks at http://www.rathergood.com/gaybar/, then it's a good song to have stuck in your head.

My last band covered that song...always brought the house down. Sometimes I'll sing it to myself on long climbs.
"Girl...I wanna take you to a Gay Bar!"
"I've got something to put in you...at the Gay Bar!"
"Let's start a war...Start a nuclear war...at the Gay Bar Gay Bar GAY BAR!"

funny, dammit.

I think I may go to Wholefoods, does anyone need anything?

Will 20 bucks be enough to get some berries there? Should I take out a loan first?
