Southern California - So Cal needs a long thread "What's Up?" type thread!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I had a nice ride tonight, 22 miles, avg speed 18.4, probably would've been higher if I didn't detour to the cigar shop. You'd think they'd never seen a cyclist before...

Swam 2650 meters today in about an hour. Not too shabby considering I got a bad cramp and had to take 5 to let it come back to order.

He's not allowed to go to a direct competitor, so there's some talk of Red Bull for a year.

The reason I joined a "satellite forum" is so that I can get access to periodic downloads necessary to keep the free satellite receiver active.

I haven't paid for cable TV in over 2 years. My TV is permanently set for my ps3/wii input. During the SD fire, a friend of mine evacuated over to my house. His small kid (~1 yr old) played with my TV remote and changed it to the cartoon channel. That was when I realized I have cable TV. :D

Just came back from my SDBC ride. Did the 'B' ride again today, but I guess my beginner's luck ran out because I got dropped very early on. :o

I didn't see you. I did the C ride cause the C++ guy said that he wanted to go at a B pace, and I haven't been riding for almost 3 weeks. Typical random C ride, but this time they took us up Highland Rd in Rancho Santa Fe. It's a nice climb.

I was late, and so waited at the intersection of Regents & Nobel. Turns out I wasn't too late though, because I have to wait 20mins+ for the 'A' to even show up.

How's your hand during the ride? Much better?

I woke up at 8:15 so all chance of me thinking of doing that route was thrown out the door. Then I became a puss and sat and watched cartoons til the fog burned through and warm enough to ride w/o warmer..that was like 11am

Did my 32 mile loop from my house up 395 then around W. lilac. New solo record, 18.3 average for the ride w/ about 2300ft climbing.

When we bought our house it was already hooked up with basic cable and we never paid for the service for nearly 10 years. I suspected our cable was illegally connected to the main line running down the back alley. Finally, when they re-cabled this entire area they promptly disconnected our's. Cable reception was often crappy but I couldn't complain to them for obvious reasons.
