Southern California - So Cal needs a long thread "What's Up?" type thread!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I'm US-7.5/Sidi-41. PBK's chart is quite accurate; that means you're a 43 if men/women sizing are the same.

Black/silver: http://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=f1081

PBK used to have the best price when I was shoe shopping a year ago. Not sure if they still are.

Thanks, Dave, but I need to try them on. :(

I'm hopeless.

You buying?

FWIW, I love those 5.5s. Pretty good price at Performance right now (with the usual coupons and such). I'm hoping for a 20% off sale soon, so I can pick up a second pair.

Nope, you can pay me back in pancakes.

Performance always has them on sale if you are able to try on a pair and size them.

That's the thing, it's going to be more of a PITA taking care of it.

It should be a fix-it - just get it signed off and it should be like $10.

I got a no front plate ticket parked in So.Pasadena while taking my little girl to the park. If I were to get it signed off in So. Pas, they charge $10 to sign it off, on top of the $10 for the reduced fine for the citation. Glad I live in Arcadia, where they sign it off for residents for free. Check with Pasadena PD.

It was on Alvarado in Silverlake by the LAPD.

Do they have them at the store? I looked when there last and saw NO SIDIS. :(

I think they had Sidis last time I was at the Pasadena store, but I wasn't paying too close attention.

They've had Sidis in stock every time I've been in the SM store, including last week. Also, Sidi sizing is identical across most models -- definitely all genius and zeta models, so as long they have any of those, you can find out which 5.5 will fit. By the way, the zeta is a great value if you are looking to save a little.

Also, I was in Boulevard Cycles today and they had several Sidis on display (not sure about how much in stock, though).

So what's the deal. You get the ticket signed off then take the plate off again?

put the plate on, get a cop to sign it off, spend 1/2 a day at court just to be in front of the judge for 15 seconds. PITA anything related to traffic courts is PITA

No Front Plate..

I was pulled over a month ago for No Front Plate.
The officer looked at my Drivers license, and insurance form,
Said " put it on when you get a chance", turned and walked away.

No ticket.
Same when I was pulled over for going 85. Said slow it down and let me go.

Pays to be nice to the coppers!

( Oh, the plate is now on though. Just not worth the time to get pulled over)

As my wife told the officer, the accident she was in a week early tore off the mounts, we can't put it on until it's repaired. She had the estimate and the plate with her, but he didn't care.

Now due to the holiday coming up and the time it takes to order parts and all we can't get it fixed until after Thanksgiving, so hopefully she won't have anymore problems.

WHAT!! Did you have a badge adjacent to your license? That would be the only thing that could explain that type of behavior.....

I'm tired. Too much thinking. Would having a pint of Haagen-Dazs be terribly bad for me? I had a pint for a quick snack yesterday and I'm still alive. I'm not sure I'll fit into my SoCal BF jersey by the time Baldy Challenge rolls around next weekend, though. :o

Jim is in off-season mode. You don't need to worry about him... he's still fast.

Martin (Giant kit) is a racer guy... first time I've met him, but he's very fast.

Jason, I gave up thinking in 1965 and have not missed it one bit. The amount of brainpower I exert to decide whether to eat ice cream is surprisingly low, in fact the answer is always yes.

Thanks for asking, V. 10-14 days at least, then I can start spinning as soon as I get my foot position resolved. At least I didn't rupture anything.

So I'll be digging out my T.I. dvds and working on my swimming form and flip turns, trying to get my "aqua lungs" back. At least my wetsuit still fits so I can get into the ocean before it gets too cold.
