I noticed I've been short tempered lately ... I attribute it to not being transferred over to this other job responsibility, like I was told I was going to do. Depressing, in a way ... and I've lost my mojo in the process. Haven't been riding in 2 weeks ... just not in the moode.

I found myself to start apologizing to everyone at work. They probably notice a change in my attitude.

Sorry, venting in here ...

Hmmm...FACT!

Taking Tylenol Cold medicine, then having a Jack Daniel's and Coke Zero to wash it down can make you downright loopy....and doesn't do squat for congestion or sinus headaches.

Dangint, beat by Mo for the first post of the morning...

Go eat something spicy. That'll clear up your congestion really quick. ;)

I think I'm having a nervous breakdown. The kind that doesn't require tears or pints of ice cream. Instead, I've resorted to laughing aloud at nothing....at the most inopportune moments.

I've been so busy today and it's not one thing at a time, but 10.

M.E., perhaps you should resort to having a Cabana Boy give you a massage and I should resort to looking for work as a Cabana Boy. Then both of us might be able to unwind a bit from work.

Like spingineer, I'm getting a little short tempered these days. My self-checking mechanism has been kicking in much more often then I'd like. I've asked a few close co-workers, but they said I'm fine. I'm really b*tchy at work... kind of like those old senior guys you see in movies that have very low patience when explaining stuff.

I think I really need a vacation... or a ride. :D

I need more than a massage, J, and Effen is a vodka, although it is also a word that could be used to describe what it is I need.

There seems to be a theme here. Work sucks. We should quit our jobs and start organizing charity rides for the Neurotic Cyclist Anti-Stress Fund. We could keep all the money and as a bonus we could go on the rides ourselves and criticize the food.

Going to the SDBC ride tomorrow, Dan? Jason, want to join?

Let's go on the B ride! Kill myself trying to keep up. It'll be fun! :D

On second thought, it's Palomar on Sunday. Let's just go for the C+. :p

Definitely not SDBC, probably not Palomar. :( I really do have a cold and it's in my chest. Climbing would not be helpful now.

Dvorak?

jschen
11-16-07, 10:21 PM
Typed every other sentence in Dvorak on a QWERTY keyboard layout. Alternate sentences typed in QWERTY on a Dvorak keyboard layout (same physical keyboard). Yes, I use Dvorak by default, but type almost as proficiently in QWERTY. And since I default to Dvorak on my personal computers, I set a keyboard shortcut to switch layouts quickly for when people borrow my computer.

11-17-07, 12:46 AM
I switched to Dvorak over two years ago. I can't type in QWERTY anymore without looking.

jschen
11-17-07, 12:48 AM
I switched eight years ago on a whim. I'm a bit faster in Dvorak, but I can still touch type in both layouts. I guess there's enough muscle memory from years of using QWERTY to be able to touch type in QWERTY still.
