Southern California - So Cal needs a long thread "What's Up?" type thread!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Is that still SCE? In Rosemead? I went there a few times for DB2 issues, perhaps 15 years ago.

You should be faster, less blood=less weight.

You'll be fine tomorrow. In fact, if you hydrate and eat properly, you could ride today. Just don't do any heavy weight lifting for 24 hours as that can be problematic for some reason. You just reminded me that I have to make an appointment. The little vampires love me since I'm O+ and am not afraid of needles. Although I did throw up once on a UCLA sticker. But that was more a visceral reaction to having a needle "dig" (where they can't find a vein or it rolls around so they dig around for it and your body can't figure out any other way to tell you something is wrong - no nerve endings in and around the veins - so it makes you sweat, feel faint and get very nauseated. Really not pleasant, might I add).

it only took like 3 1/2 minutes...i could have sworn it took longer than that...the were a little freaked at my HR at first...bp keeps getting lower since last December...

This bike thing rocks.

Thanks for the heads up...so 40 mile hammerfest in east county tomorrow it is?

I've already told you guys why. It's a visceral reaction. The body just goes into crisis mode. Now, if we had nerve endings in the veins, it would hurt like hell the whole draw. So, really, it's a good thing that some folks just throw-up or pass out.

It's a world of laughter
- A world of tears
It's a world of hopes
- And a world of fears
There's so much that we share
- That it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all

It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world

*edit* i am a sick btard i know.
There is just one moon
- And one golden sun
And a smile means
- Friendship to every one
Though the mountains divide
- And the oceans are wide
It's a small world after all

It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world
