Mo'Phat's rules to live by, #5,098,176.a.2 (rev. J)
"Don't buy the first issuance of anything. Generally, it's one step above the beta unit, there are still bugs and quirks, and the manufacturer or subcontracted R&D don't have the 'power-user' mentality to break-down all the foreseeable trouble spots. They depend on the first year's users to try, critique, and troubleshoot a list of issues so that when the subsequent issuances do come out, they can charge a premium for fixing what should never have been problems in the first place." - So sayeth, the Mo.

One pic here. Doesn't look that nice though. I think I need to spend some effort to remove those wheel labels. On this bike they're too distracting. :p

Congrats - it's all built! You're right about the Easton stickers - very distracting. However, I think they should look okay on my bike, since it's all nude carbon. Hi-tech confirmed that it's on it's way today, but it'll be difficult to ride outside 'cause it will be close to freezing. Oh well...looky, looky, and touchy, but no ridey.....sigh.

Ron, the CAM challenge is for you only. It was meant to encourage people to challenge themselves to ride 100 miles a month...as a PERSONAL challenge. Don't beat yourself up. As far as I'm concerned, I've well made that challenge and don't even really need to ride 100 in December (although I will). So, take one of your doubles and apply it. When the year is done, anyone who entered that challenge and rode so much as one century did just fine.

This sounds like another one of those 'Everyone gets a ribbon' type statements that is ruining the sportsmanlike competitive spirit of todays youth... Can I call myself a KOM Finisher if I didn't complete the downhill portion of the Breathless Agony? I think NOT!
Granted, the CAM is just for your own personal growth and enjoyment.... but do not delude yourself, completing the CAM challenge is just that, a challenge. You have to work hard to overcome the obstacles put in front of you (by yourself and others) to be successful.
And do you really want to remember this year as the year that you ALMOST completed a goal?
You have a couple days left in November, get out there and do a century ride (and then do another in December)!

 Did you even take the challenge? And if you hadn't finished CAM, would you hide in a closet somewhere or feel incomplete? Be competetive if you want, but others shouldn't have to be if they don't want to. And besides, the PERSON WHO SUGGESTED THE CHALLENGE in the first place (and made up all the rules) has only done maybe 6 or 7 centuries all year (I took that thread over for someone at his request).
But, yes, Ron, if you feel an absolute desire to get your 11th century, take a day off work and go ride 100 miles.
Such silliness....:p
Oh, and I'm not taking the CAM challenge next year. I don't need to in order to be motivated to ride. And I don't give a flying rat's ass about KOM. If others want to suffer, go for it. :D

Don't get me wrong, it is a challenge that I wanted to strive for myself. It's funny, when the year started, my goal was to get my triple crown. But, along the way, the CAM challenge came about. It was a perfect way to train for the doubles. Now that the doubles are over, I just wanted to continue the goal of a century a month, but this time of year, the body is so worn down from all the previous months, that it is time to think about if I am having fun. I do enjoy the centuries, but with the lack of available organized centuries, I find myself struggling to make that century in, and it took some of the luster and fun out of it.
I do want to thank you for all the encouragement. I probably won't do the century in 2 weeks ... I'll probably do a metric during the day, and see you at dinner. BTW, I see that Clem is there. If you see him, please say hi to him for me.

This is my first time doing this. What's a good music download site that you like and regularly use? ....and cheap is good. :DDepends on your player. I use different sites for different players.
The best deal is using a player that can handle subscription music. My Creative Zen allows me to load unlimited music onto it from Yahoo Music. Thousands of songs - as long as I have the subscription. It's an annual fee, but since I like to always refresh my music, it's better for me than buying individual songs or albums.

If you have a big existing collection of CDs that you enjoy, definitely cheaper to just transfer them over. Yahoo Music subscription is great if you want to dramatically expand your collection AND you aren't worried about long term ownership of the songs. Even if you want to buy songs, Yahoo is cheaper than iTunes, though. Usually only 79 cents per song, I think.

But I've been on that site and some of the links don't work. I've been doing lots of research, including printing out all the pages to the Chapter XV - Rent Stabilization laws from the LAHD. But it's so confusing. I was hoping to pick someone's brain who may have current knowledge on the laws as the Chapter is looooooonnnnnnngggggg.

AllofMP3.com is pretty cheap (~$0.15 per song) and has good quality, but it is a Russian website that is currently under indictment by US Courts through the RIAA. The artists (and the record companies) that you download from that site will not get royalties.
Technically, the US courts can say that you are buying stolen goods.... but that is only if they can figure out a way to enforce the US Court indictment through the World Court. That will only happen if all member countries agree to a copyright law that has worldwide impact. FAT CHANCE!

Not much-- that's why it's called an appendix.
There are theories as to why it might be useful still, but not even close to confirmed.
