probably more like 1:30-2ish...church down south don't get out till about 1230, go home change...drive to where we meet = about 2ish..plently of time to get 50 in if you aren't afraid of a little dusk riding.

I'm game for that, we get out about 12-12:30 pending how much the pastor wants to talk
Where did you want to start? La Jolla Area or Del Mar
I know riding from C'bad power plant to the Solona Beach Train station is only 30 miles or so. So we would need to start farther south to get more miles in.

Rode in to work today. Did a detour to Torrey Pines then climbed up Lusk. 14.4miles/1155ft @13 mph avg. Will be a while before I can keep up with you guys. :p
My 2nd time on the new bike. I've rotated the bars down and it felt much better. I think I got too used to the more aggressive position w/my previous C'dale. It's still ~1" higher at the bars, but I have a lot of spacers to play with to get it right. :)

sounds like a good ride:D You get used to the aggressive fit soon, you'll prolly won't spend too much time on the drops for a while.

i'm in if you start from solana beach. i could ride down and meet you guys, and we could ride to san clemente. maybe even throw rocks over the wall at the power plant.

Thanks! It's actually the reverse. New bike is set up much less aggressive and at first felt like I am driving an SUV. I don't really need it to look/ride fast, but I think I got used to the bars being lower.
Getting better though. I'll bring the new bike back to the shop and lower the bars a bit. :)

flipitIt's already flipped so it's easier to strap on the bento box.
integrated headset + 4 small spacers + flipped 10 deg stem
vs
1cm taller headtube + external hs + 6 small spacers + flipped 7 deg stem
The reason the new bike is set up like that is because I forgot to bring my old bike in for the store to match the config. :p

Mine did until someone commented that my head stunk. Then that person told me that I could just wash the damn thing in the shower while I showered. This person is a member on here and that person knows to never say anything quite so bluntly to me again.

Then again...
If Vin Diesel fell in the forest, and no one was watching, it would sound like Beethoven's Ninth. If he fell in the forest, and someone was watching, he would beat that guy to a bloody pulp. But the screams of agony would still sound like Beethoven's Ninth. (http://4q.cc/index.php?pid=fact&person=vin&id=9xkgu2dyn7xw7isyyoomqgwzortkhfzu)

I've since started to use shampoo on the helmet every 2-3 rides.
On the downside, those foam padding start to deteriorate rapidly with frequent washing. :(

I just give mine a quick rinse in the shower once every week or two. I'll probably replace it sometime in January though. It's coming up on 2 years of regular use now...

I do not comprehend what you just wrote. Nothing homoerotic about it. Just three men together in a shower stall wearing nothing but helmets and getting their heads all suds upped.
It would be like a Nature episode, only for cyclists.

 I said nothing about love, silly. This is educational, involves helmets, athletes and that kind of team player mentality that we all strive for.
It also involves a video camera.
I've yet to see Chuckles or Mo weigh in, but I imagine they are going to be all over it. :D
