Southern California - So Cal needs a long thread "What's Up?" type thread!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I wish...i think i am going to contact American Classic here soon, a wheel sponsor would be nice but we are only talking a Cat 4/5 team...we do have a bike hook on the New Specialized SL2's...
but....that's still going to be allot.

Ranchos just got American Classics for their wheel sponser. Still unsure on the discount. But I heard it was 40% off the ceramic bearings on the BBs from their listed price on their sites. If the same discount is for wheel, I might be getting the 420's bladed:D
Think Dave said SDBC had Spinergy as their wheel hookup

Easton's are pretty nice too. Closeouts on the Ascents/Orions/Tempest recently; but you are probably looking at higher-end ones.

eastons are nice. i've owneda set for a while and haven't had any problems. but then they haven't been subjected to the punishment that the spinergys have. i'm a believer in that product.

So, I'm on weight watchers and everything is a "a point this" or "two points that," and I have a craving for something sweet. My coworker has teenie, tiny little blue bags of M&M minis. They are nothing, I tell you. Hardly any chocolate at all. Well, I called Mars Incorporated and asked them the calories, fat, etc. to determine points.
4 points! For two itty-bitty bags.  That's like a whole lunch. :(

Do those things work as 1-time/1-step weight reduction scheme or are they more of a long-term program just to sustain the lowered weight?
Seems like a real pain. :p
merider1
11-29-07, 03:18 PM
Do you mean Weight Watchers? Yes, it is very effective at both getting the weight off and keeping it off. I took off 26 pounds two years ago on WW and it was tough for the first month, but after awhile, I stopped cheating altogether and really lost. I kept it off up until this year when I opened my fat mouth and shoved more food in it than I needed (i.e. I didn't follow even the mere principles of the program - moderation!). It is actually a very safe, effective weight loss program that millions have lost weight on. It isn't expensive, you don't have to buy their foods, and it is for slow weight loss (it's not a "get skinny overnight" scheme).

It is barbaric - and in the wrong hands things can go terribly wrong.

Here's a question I don't know the answer to, and Google has failed me.
On the right of this page are ads, for us non-supportive members. These ads are pictures that you click. However, all I see at the moment is this
[AD]
I can still click it to take me somewhere, but the picture doesn't show up. Anybody know how to enable it so the pictures show up?
This also happens on some news sites and webstores.
