I have not ridden any of my bikes in over 4 days. :( It'll be another 6 days until I see any of my bikes again. I should of packed up my folding bike for my business trip. All I have left to cling to that is biking related is BF.

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!! 2 days til I die on the century whoohoo + my bachelor party tonight leaves one day to recover LOL

i dont know the test was really really hard...I tried as hard as I could, answered everything but it was all proof based so depending on if I proved it correctly then thats what counts.

Anyways, ya i rode yesterday but no one showed up to the thur ride so I did about 8 miles alone.

I am going out drinking today so tomorrow is going to be HARD for me :(

I would get a new road bike but I already have one and I'm attached to my heavy ass Lemond

Since I'm not riding tomorrow, I took Patsy to my lbs for a salon day. She's getting the full treatment and her new wheels are going on. :beer: Oscar and David at Budget Pro Bicycles have reassured me that I will be able to tell the difference in my ride. We shall see. :D

I also tried on Shimano top o' the line carbon shoes and SIDIs (carbon, TOL). The Shimanoes feel like butter they are so comfortable, but they do not offer heel replacements, which concerns me and I hated the way the SIDIs felt. :eek: They hurt as it felt like they have a rod sticking up into what little arch I have (I'm fairly flat footed). No SIDIs for me.

Budget doesn't carry specialized. :( So, I told Oscar that I'm going to go try them on elsewhere. If they feel as good as the Shimanoes, I may go with them as they offer heel replacements.

Any thoughts on the Shimanoes??

Those Shimano heels will last a long time, mine are going on 2 years with no worries. If you do a lot of walking in them, then it might be a concern.

it's not really going now...i am just a Cat 5 with 3 races done...but i am training like crazy right now and we have a team out of San Diego that is about 4-5 of us. The season starts in January...so just training until then. The guys say that i am getting pretty strong so we'll see....I have my doubts...but the guys i ride with are super strong. Ben my best friend and teamate is a frieght train and arguably one of the top 2 or 3 fastest Cat 5's....not that Cat 5 is a big deal but he consistanly finishes in the top 10 now that he's a 4...

can't wait for january...

just don't understand the long ride things...i would rather go do hill repeats for an hour or so than ride 100miles....i already have my base miles so now everything kinda has an agenda to it.

my commutes are my fun rides that i just go out on and enjoy.

yah we're gonna do the century, they did the metric last yr and my friend wants to do the century as his first. so yah, we can ride with us til the split in Esco.

I don't see them as a punishment but more of a challenge

I'm still layed up sick in bed today. This is the sickest I've been in YEARS! I think the worst is over, but no way I am riding Sunday, and the Temecula wine tour tomorrow is probably out too (stomach is just too tender still). My wife is going to be VERY disappointed about that!
