it's not really going now...i am just a Cat 5 with 3 races done...but i am training like crazy right now and we have a team out of San Diego that is about 4-5 of us. The season starts in January...so just training until then. The guys say that i am getting pretty strong so we'll see....I have my doubts...but the guys i ride with are super strong. Ben my best friend and teamate is a frieght train and arguably one of the top 2 or 3 fastest Cat 5's....not that Cat 5 is a big deal but he consistanly finishes in the top 10 now that he's a 4...

can't wait for january...

are you racing this year?

Yea I'm going to give it a shot, I just hope to make cat3 and end my career lol.

I can sprint, so I would do well on crits, but I dont think I'd fare so well on RR :(

:( I wish I were tuckered. I'm puffy. I had half a donut (I hate those stupid things, but this one had cream in it). Blechk! I NEED to ride. I'm stuck with the gym.

Um... a whopping 1.6 miles. I headed out in the wind around 2pm and promptly got smacked by a large branch. Turned around and came right home. It took me longer to get into my bike clothes than it did to ride. :(

I'm still layed up sick in bed today. This is the sickest I've been in YEARS! I think the worst is over, but no way I am riding Sunday, and the Temecula wine tour tomorrow is probably out too (stomach is just too tender still). My wife is going to be VERY disappointed about that!

Sorry you're feeling so bad, Mark. Get better soon! :(

Same here, but in my case I'll defer prep'ing my bike for tomorrow's ride until... well, tomorrow.

I'm not really that busy at work in the sense of working around the clock, etc. that I sometimes do. But for some reason I just feel pretty stressed out.

And yourself?well, I was awakened rudely at 4:30 to go outside and find out why the neighbor's little dog was yapping uncontrollably. Mind you, this is an ongoing thing. Nothing was wrong with the dog as usual and I was told..."just go back to bed". By now it's 5:00am and I am pretty much awake...oh well, just another lost hour of sleep..:(

Work. All about work. Five solid hours of two PhD's and me (one year from PhD) trying to come up with reasonable looking ideas for solving a research problem. That's why my brain hurts so much.

What girl? Not completely sure what you're referring to.

Gee, hope you don't get an overuse injury.

I don't have that problem. My brain has been on autopilot for years. I think the last decision I made was of the "tastes great - less filling" kind.

Leaving in a while for the temple. Today is our daughter's Bat Mitzvah! Pool party to follow the morning service. Winds need to stay away! Heat needs to fire up! Bank account needs help!

Guess there isn't any time to ride this morning!

Good morning, Happy! :) I just got up. I got up at 7 and went back to bed for two hours. I've not done that in forever. I feel dizzy now. And I have to go get something for breakfast and then clean my place.

You rode? Not that it effects me in any way except that I did NOT ride. I'm sitting here fat and squishy. I may do a spin this afternoon when I pick my bike up. But just around the RB and strictly for cardio. But no "ride" type of ride. :(

I didn't go on a training ride, ME. I was just tooling around town with my backpack, visited one cousin and his wife (they're early birds) to check up on their ill son, stopped by the bakery for bread (another place open early) and then to the Farmer's Market. I don't think my HR went above 140. It was a nice morning to ride about town, once the sun came up.

Now... cleaning and laundry.... ::: sigh ::: Boo.

Joy, I hope your cousin and family are doing better. And your "tooling" around town sounds like fun. If I lived closer to you, I'd be jonesing to do that.

Me too on the c and l...BOO. But I still haven't gotten up and dressed and some breakfast/coffee. Okay, I'm dragging my squishy bottom off the couch now. :D Have a great morning guys. I'm going to try to stay off of here today and use my non-riding time in a productive fashion. Let's see how long I can stay off before I cave and need a fix...:p

My knee is actually okay this morning, but I've been laying off of it. I get the xray on Wednesday. I also get my second shot of Gardasil.

I think I'll ride to Caltrain, and take the train up to the city, and catch fleet week. I've got no motivation today, since I had to go on an errand to the bank. It's a good thing I went today, because I didn't realize banks are closed on Monday, due to Columbus day.
