Oh...hi...you're back.
I never would have imagined that kit color made a difference...I though a conniption fit might have occurred at the sight of knit and cycling caps/un-helmetted noggins.
If they are dumb enough to ride without helmets, I'm not so concerned about their noggins. Their little heads, however...

I did that to my Garmin and it survived:D
Your wife accidentally washed it, or you accidentally left it in a pocket?

Real racers don't wear gloves, Crash. Gloves are for wussy. Harden the F up.

Yes, and I imagine coaxing the turtles out the shells. We see eye to eye, Mo'. No arguments here.

Well, thank goodness you're here. This place has been like a school library around finals. :( I'm at an offsite, taking small breaks between typing cliff sheets. I'm so sleepy since I got up so early to work out.

Yeah, well I can top you. I won't list the crap I've been shoving in my pie hole AND I have dinner tonight. It's so hard at a hotel, though. They just keep bringing out tons of crap to eat and I'm bored and I'm sleepy. A very lethal combination.
Trust me, you did not make a dent like I did.
What kind of quiche, by the way?

My dad is here with my mom; back from their Hawaiian cruise. Tomorrow I need to find out how to stuff their 4 LARGE luggages into my car, then drive them to the airport for their flight back to Toronto.

Well, look it (for you, Vance), I put a pairing knife all the way into the area on my hand between my index finger and thumb (it squirted blood all over the place). I never did get stiches and I showed all the men in the office the inside of my hand for about a week until an infection forced me to see the doctor. My doctor could not believe that I had stopped the bleeding on my own and/or was not in such agony that I didn't go to the emergency room. I now have a scar and my hand never closes quite right.
So, go right ahead, Vance, and post your little wuss thumbnail boo boo. :p

Went to the Pala casino for the buffet today. Had turkey, ham, ribs, pizza, chicken, meatballs, spring rolls, roasted potatoes, mashed potatoes, shrimp, lasagna, tortellini, stuffing, cranberries, sausages, 3 pieces of cheesecake with whipped cream and a piece of peach pie with whipped cream. All of $9.98.

Twice I've nearly cut my left hand fingertips off! First time involved a table saw mishap while trying to cut a groove in a small piece of wood. Wood slipped and my index finger went "gink," right into the blade. I know. I immediately grabbed it with my other hand and held tight. For the longest time I didn't want to look at the damage, so I walked around holding it trying to calm down and thought of all the scenarios: A.) It's still there in one piece and I'll just need a bandaid B.) It's hanging by a ligament and I need to go to the emergency room where they'll stitch it up and I'll be fine C.) there's nothing they'll be able to do and I won't ever again have use of my left hand to play guitar with.
I was also alone on the property at the time, so there was no one I could ask for help. I would have to drive myself to the hospital. All of that, plus the shock of having done it in the first place began to make me feel dizzy and nauseous. I had to lay down on the floor for 15 minutes and just breath to get up the courage to look at it. When I eventually did, I couldn't quite tell how bad it was. It looked whole, but the damage to the tip was a mystery. I had jammed my finger right into the edge of the spinning saw blade. I know. The nail was mostly gone, and there was a big slice down the middle, but apparently not deep enough to hit the bone. I decided to clean and wrap it with gauze and anti-infection cream, then look at it later to better determine what I needed to do. Doing all that with one hand was a challenge, but I was able to do it. Because it was essentially all in one piece, I decided to let it heal with regular cleaning and rebandaging. It took about 6 weeks until I was able to remove the bandaging for good. And it turned out fine.
The second time, on July 4th, 2004, was a hacksaw mishap while trying to cut a small piece of metal during an auto repair. I know. This time the cut went across the tips of both the left thumb and fore finger, plus it hit both bones. Again I walked around with my good hand squeezed around my cut fingers and fearing the worst. Because the blade was quite thin, the damage was minimal, but the cut was deep. So I again self cleaned and bandaged them up. The kicker is that I was supposed to go to a big party later that afternoon, but the entire front of my car had been disassembled for the repair. So in order to make it to the party, I would have to finish the repair and reassemble the car with one badly injured hand. By the time I was finished, my entire left arm was throbbing in pain. That, by the way, is one of the symptoms of bone having been struck. So I took a pain killer and off to the party I went. When the pain started returning and I began to feel dizzy, then it was time to go. Both fingers healed fine, but the very tips are numb to this day.

You didn't mention all the soft drinks or juice that's included. I love those casino buffets! Was it the 2 for one special? Pechanga charges around $20, but with the 2 for one coupon and a friend, it's $10 apiece. Were you able to walk afterwards?

I think it's $20 for dinner and on weekends.
The bad thing about Pala is that they don't have a card room. The slot machines bore me after a couple of minutes. I like the Pechanga card room, especially the weekday morning tournaments.

Never been to Pala, and I haven't played any tables or slots at Pechanga, so I wouldn't know that side of the local casinos. The last time I ate there was Thanksgiving, so the place was packed. It was fun with tons of people playing blackjack and poker. Very lively. You can walk through the low stakes card game areas, stop and watch how people win and lose.
