Mountain Biking - Testicular pain

Hey all,
I have some painin my , uh , testicle. I'm not sure if this is from riding, but I dont feel it when I'm riding, but I do feel it the rest of the time. I'ts a steady ache with sharp pain sometimes.
Any advice is helpful.

If there's pain and/or swelling in the testicle, always best to see a doctor.

ya, make an appoinment ASAP, it makes you feel stupid if its nothing and you go crzy, but youll feel worse (mentally) if its life threatining and you didnt give a damn. go see your doctor

Testicular cancer can affect 1 in 250 men. Go to doctor for exam.

ya, u never know, even at your age, theres a girl at my school that has/had cancer. they caught it soon enough that they think its all gone now, but theres a chance it will come back someday. theres a theory floating around out there, that everyone will get cancer...someday, if we could live long enough, meaning you could be 300 before you get it, and some people are born with it.

Seriously, this did happen to a buddy of mine and it was testicular torsion. When your nut gets twisted around in your sack. It is very serious and hurts like hell. We brought him to the ER and they ID'd it in about 2 minutes and he was under the knife in under an hour.

If you are having sharp pains, go to the ER immediately. Otherwise doctor tomorrow.

There is some medical name for it. I had that problem on my road bike with a new seat. The pain goes away after a few days if you quit riding, usually. You can search the forums.

But to be careful, get it checked out by your doctor.

You either have testicular cancer, some other ailment, or your nut just hurts. I'm not qualified to tell you which one it is.

I get a pain in my balls when Im not out riding too, the definition of addiction!!!

Like they said, go to the doctor. If it is riding that's causing it, try a saddle with a channel in it to take pressure off that nerve.

how is it any different than going to a doctor when you're 18? or 23? or 45? you should take care of yourself! seriously, it could be nothing, but it could be really, really bad.

I went to high school with a kid who developed testicular cancer at about 15 or 16. Just so happens he was a national champion bmx racer. Was it the bike riding? Maybe.

He is fine now because he went to a doctor.

yes get to a doctor, about two years ago I had pain and then a large lump developed. It turned out to be a harmless cyst but was 40mm across, had it removed and all is well. Had me worried for a while though.
