Yes and no. Champion had a hard time with our materials, but appear to have a proof kind of ready. iab and I both had some questions about it before proceeding.

Champion is a horrible company to deal with - as far as customer service and response is concerned. You get what you pay for I guess.

We had a rider killed a few years back when he was hit by a tractor. Cory was a very accomplished rider and racer. It can happen to anyone of us so be careful. Here is a link (http://www.memphisthunder.com/in_memory_of_cory.htm)

Occassionaly, in the interest of safety, most riders in this area have had to utter the phrase "Tractor Up" to warn others in the group that there is a large farm implement that is heading towards the group.

I find that funny every time I hear it.

Received proofs. I have updated the original post to include them. I will continue to take orders Through tomorrow. You must contact me via PM before 5PM Central on 11/8/07. BF is blocked during the day for me now so I won't be able to complete you order until tomorrow night, but I need a PM before 5pm.

Still can't believe that Hip isn't buying one. Even after wearing the all white FdJ kit.

Will some member of BFNIC be sure to let us know if psimet shows up for a ride on a flashy new bike and can't explain where he got the money? :D

Thanks for all your work on this -- can't wait to see the final result!

When can we start the chant:

"Where's my jersey?" du du dududu

(To the tune of Let's Go Badgers, Let's Go Buckeyes, Illini, Hoosiers, Hawkeyes, Spartans, Boilers, Gophers, Wildcats)

What's Michigan say, anyway?

You don't know it yet, but I actually bought ColorChange's Cervelo for him so that he would promise not to tell anyone I was embezzling the funds.

I'm pretty sure it means Champion Systems is looking forward to a very Merry Christmas, whether we get the jerseys in a few weeks or by next summer.

I say we all don them and meet to ride ! It's been since high school that I've worn the same thing as a bunch of other folk and hung out like I'm cool because of it! That would be awesome! :) Crystal

Smokinmiles. It really feels great to be a part of a club. Ride together and show your solidarity in club rides . Our colors are red/yellow. I Even have red/yellow Time shoes. Also, riding in packs of riders, a good way to keep your group together is to have club kit. When maybe a hundred or more cyclists get together, we are sort of like bees. Hard to tell us apart. I stuck around these Great Lakes more, I'd really wish to have the Great Lakes gear./ And our association of clubs has little ceremony for clubs than come in first or do the longest rides.Say, we qualified by doing a century plus and were on the podium. / How would it be if all other club members were in red/yellow and I were in cut offs. Not a part of the team. That is no fun.

Awesome! I see you all in your avatar picture. It IS a good way to keep the club together. I like your bee simile. If your location is California and France, I don't blame you for not hanging around the Great Lakes. I can't wait to get my jersey....and then hope I can actually hang with the other people wearing the jersey speedwise. :p

Estimated delivery Nov 29, 2007 by 10:30 AM

Currently in Hong Kong.

I'll keep everyone posted. If they arrive Thursday then I might be able to send them out on Friday to everyone. I am sending via USPS Priority so you should have them by Monday if all works well.

Well before the Christmas date I was expecting. Champion contact said the factory is just piling through everything right now.

Happy Holidays - Merry Christmas

Now...the bad news...my power supply for my computer (home) failed last night. Been all over trying to find a replacement. No luck. Found one online from NewEgg. It will take a few days to get. I am running off of my old old old Pentium 4. I've now gotten internet and thats about it. Work has blocked BF....

So....It might take an extra day or two for me to get all of the jerseys that are being sent in the mail out to everyone (all of my records are on the other PC - I will have to reconstruct using my PayPal account and file backups). I apologize, but let's see if I can at least get a pic to temp you guys with if they show up tomorrow.

Good news is you will definitely have them before Christmas! :D

Cheers,

Yeah, we should all just meet up to get the jerseys somewhere along the Fox River.

I vote for Prairie Rock in Elgin. Jerseys and some pre-holiday cheer. Who's in?

That works for only the few who are in this area who got them. Doesn't work for all the people in Ohio, Michigan, New York (yes, New york), Wisconsin, etc....

Although drinking at Prairie Rock works for me on a personal level.

Status...at local FedEx location in Aurora. I have a feeling I will see these this morning. :D

They are in. They are beautiful. They turned out a whole heck of a lot better than I had imagined. I think Champion has changed their base garment suppliers. These look just as good as Voler stuff.

The bibs are a whole heck of a lot better than the ones I saw that kenal0 had from the first BikeForums kit. They are on par with the Voler "Hammer" bibs I have.

Outstanding. Going home with me tonight. I'll keep everyone posted with progress on shipping. I will probably send out individual notices when yours goes out.

For those of you who are picking them up we might arrange a group get together sometime tomorrow or early next week.

I'll post a picture or 2 later if I can...

Man that took forever. I had to dismantle the hard drive from my now dead computer, put it into an external enclosure I was using for a different hard drive to search for the file. Turns out the hard drive in the old PC is also crashing. A few hours, and some swearing at security, later I had the file with everyone's sizing and shipping info.

Can't post pctures, but it is impressive. Everything is adressed and packaged. It will all get out tomorrow.

Psimmet2001*, if you have a little extra time, what were some of the numbers with jersey sales. How many were purchased? Men and Women? Different States? How many people you never heard of bought something? Was it more than you were expecting? I guess it would be interesting to know. Great job by the way!

Psimet2001

I just sent out everything during lunch. Priority mail to all who paid for shipping. Maybe Monday(?) for most people.

It's been a crazy 24 hrs, but I really didn't want to sit on the jerseys waiting for a better time to do it, but from the data I have on this computer I think the final count was:

24 jerseys - 22 male, 2 female
6 bib shorts - 1 pair of shorts

From the following states: IL, MI, WI, OH, MN, NY

Surprisingly there were none from Indiana. Greatest concentration was WI I believe - go figure ;).

Good deal. It was definitely more than what I was expecting. I have also been contacted by 3-4 people who were wondering if they could still get in so there was definitely more interest. I figure I will probably do this again more towards the mid summer with a new design. It was fun, and it was cool to see my designs go from hand drawings to polished work (thanks again iab!) to delivered to my door on an actual jersey.

Oh and the bibs are good at holding in love handles.

Now....I just need to figure out how to get my new Garmin Edge 305 up and running without a computer....(my gift to myself for my birthday - utilizing the $75 rebate that expires today I got the bundled package for under $200 - and no the money was not from the jersey money )

Yeah, and since I've now discovered how nice bibs are, I wish I'd ordered a pair. On the other hand, there might be a limit to how "kitted out" I really want to look at my age. :(

Might I suggest vests, jackets, or socks next time as well.

Looks goofy wearing your BF kit with Festina socks.

:p

A number of years ago I went in with 3 other guys on "Top Team Milwaukee" gear even though I wasn't racing, but a friend's store was a major sponsor. We got long sleeve jerseys, thermal jackets, it was an awesome kit !

:)

Thanks again for your efforts.
