One of my beloved DiNotte 200-L headlights died a couple of weeks ago. The indicator light on the back showed everything it was supposed to, but it failed to emit any photons from the front.
I emailed the only address I could find on the DiNotte web site. In just under an hour I had a reply asking for my shipping address.
Two days later, a new light and a self-addressed, postage-paid, return envelope showed up in my mail.
Besides the prompt service, what I liked was being treated like a responsible adult. There was:
no RMA number to get,
no invoice to dig out of the file,
no credit card deposit to insure I'd return the failed one,
no running to the post office for a shipping envelope,
no extra shipping charges,
no "ship us the old one, we'll verify and send you another if it looks like it's our fault" crap,
no BS whatsoever.
Instead, they
accepted me at my word that there was a problem,
trusted that I'd do the right thing when the replacement arrived, and
made sure there was no further cost or inconvenience to me.
That's the way I like to be treated, and it will ensure that DiNotte will be my first choice for lighting needs.
