Can i tell the headstem diamete without pulling the fork etc..? I have a 1991 Haro Impule I use for bad weather commuttes and the one I lend to company......... I want to upgrade to a front shock, BUT I don't know what size.. My guess is 1 1/4" but want to make sure it's not 1 1/8" any help???

Threaded or threadless headset? If it's threaded, measure the stem quill. 1" stems use 22.2mm diameter stems. 1 1/8" use 25.4mm stems. If it's threadless, take off the top cap and measure the inside diameter of the stem. If it's 25.4mm that's a 1". If it's 28.6mm that a 1 1/8" If its 31.8mm that's 1 1/4"

Get a cheap set of calipers if you don't already have one.:D

Contact HARO and ask them the spec for your frame?
