I've been doing my research and want to hear about experiences.

I find LSD, long slow distance, to be a valuable part of my pre-season training.

LSD means pounds, shillings and pence here.
Or did pre 1970.

I've wasted the both in my errant youth.
(I'm old, but youthful still!)

Do 'shrooms count?

Its in my top 5 expereinces in my life right now.

Nope. I've always thought that I might like to try it in a controlled situation, just to see what it's like, but I've never really had the opportunity.

I had that outlook about blotter & windowpane etc. I wanted someone I could trust to be around when I launched. Just never found that person.

the acid sucks around here. you need like 6 hits to get any effect.

Did you ever see the movie of "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas"? The visuals are fairly accurate.

Saw some cool harlequin type swirling patterns, a guy with a fireball for a head, and a werewolf.
meh, it was ok at best.

i never understood that extreme Hulucinating(spelling?). When I did shrooms things were changing but nothing appeared out of no where and such.

Never done it, but seen friends who do LSD end up not quite right afterwards... and usually full of strange conspiracy theories that only they can connect the dots and find.

After 50 hours up once during a server meltdown, I started getting flashes out of the corners of my eyes. No way in hell I would want to hallucinate on purpose.

Nothing wrong with trying something not inherently dangerous yourself, particularly with substances. Dose small, dose safe, and don't get carried away into that terrible thing known as "drug culture".

Does it matter, Blotter, microdot...dropped on sugar cubes ???

BLIMP

As with all things, quality varies. As with all things on the black market, getting the quality you want tends to be hit or miss. The form it is in is largely irrelevant, though I personally consider tabs safer as it's considerably easier to quantify a dose and compare it to others.

I almost did in high school. I actually bought a square and had it in my possession, but had heard enough things to scare me bad enough I never took it.

1. I heard about the possibility of a sudden relapse back into the stoned state that could happen 20 years later and was afraid I'd be all powerful in a great job and suddenly whack out in the middle of a presentation or something.

2. I asked a girl who was a big stoner what a bad trip was like. She described it like this: "take the worst nightmare you ever had, multiply that by 1000 and make it last for about 10-12 hours". That alone was pretty damn scary.

Nope...never ended up trying it (thankfully).

Driving down Lake Shore Drive is an experience, that is for sure. As long as you keep up with the traffic and ignore that you're driving through the City at 60 in a 45...and so are the cops next to you...it's really not that bad. And...coming in from the North at night, heck even in the daytime, may just be one of the prettiest things in the country, certainly in the Midwest (as far as urban settings go).

Sure....you really want to trust a 22 year old acid hit, then you have bigger balls than I do (no matter what the genderbender doctor says). :D

I know acidheads who say they have permanent tracers (lights like streetlamps and headlights leave streaks on the vision.) Most acidheads tend to be semi-normal, although I know a number who will go into paranoid rants about stuff that only they seem to connect together. Long term, I think it does damage to the brain just like driving on the road in 4Hi or 4Lo (versus AWD) mode on American trucks will damage the drivetrain. LSD is a poison, and the body, brain, and mind are not intended to be poisoned like this repeatedly.

All the info I hear about LSD, good or bad, is all secondhand. To me, its like playing with fire, and debating the chance of having a "good" trip versus having a bad one, or just getting stuff that is cut with some highly toxic chemical, is all too high.

I only have a few working brain cells, and am dumb as it is already (search on my username and read my past posts for proof)... why take the chance of crossing over from animal to vegetable mentally?

I knew a guy in college who "used" to be a big acid junkie....he was quite clean and sober when I knew him, but let's just say "he wasn't quite normal" and everybody noticed and said that.

It would be no good by now anyways. LSD loses consitancity with exposure to air, light ect.
After 22 years I'm sure its dead. hahaa.

I'm def going to try it. Controlled with friends I trust.

I did it a lot in some long gone decade.
It can be quite frightening. I think if I were ever on a plane
in the throes of crashing its what my last moments might be like.
At the time I swore I was getting the answers to all universal conundrums
and got many kozmic trooths but the reality is that stuff could have been
gotten with a Starbucks Vento and 1/2 hour of contemplation time.

I think if I were ever on a plane
in the throes of crashing its what my last moments might be like. Maybe when those oxygen masks fall down in such an event, the passenger should also be given a tablet that consists of tranquilizers and LSD. If you're gonna die anyway, you might as well have some fun with it. And hey, if you don't die, you'll have the most awesome near-death-experience ever!

Yes, and its not really something you can explain. I can say that it is similar to the shrooms, but the shrooms are much easier on your body. They don't last nearly as long and hurt as bad coming down.

You eat only raw food, but you use mind-altering substances? Hmm...

I should state that the word "done" should be used in its most literal sense. I haven't taken any psychedelics for almost 10 years. Most of my "mind altering" substances involve wine these days. :p Much better too, if you ask me.

A lot of famous people have admitted dropping acid and they turned out OK:

Brian Wilson

Willie Nelson

Mickey Dolenz

Dave Chappelle

Which is exactly why I've never felt inclined to experiment beyond the occasional cup of mushroom tea. I'm perfectly capable of learning the easy way.

LSD about 30-35 times, I used to sell the liquid for a while, $110 per ounce which I sold for like $600 one dose at a time on sugar cubes usually, sometimes right on their tongue direct(can you say whoa)

shrooms about 10 times

been about 8 years since I've done any of that kind of stuff

it isn't as intense as people make it out to be, and unlike some drugs like pcp, when you hallucinate on it you know your hallucinating, Ive done it at college during exams, worked on it, water ski'd once on it, delivered pizzas on it, you name it.......it isn't a drug that makes you so wasted and stupid you can't function and its also one of those things that you won't get addicted to, you either want it or you don't and once a week is about all you can do it anyway, it doesn't give a person cravings for it

wanna know the kinds of things you might see:
grain in a piece of wood sort of swimming around and moving
brick wall with bricks that move back and forth
pets--cats, dogs etc....you can see and sense every single hair on their body reacting to what they see and hear
colors kinda swim around in some things you look at.......hence the atraction to tye-dye clothes
you won't wanna eat
you can drink unlimited alcohol and not feel it
pot does nothing and tastes weird
orange juice or any citrus will give you shivers up and down your spine and sort of make you wanna grind your teeth together

ever heard the expression: stretch marks on the back of your head? ya you will feel that too from smiling and laughing so much

when your peaking on the stuff everything sort of vibrates and resonates, even inanimate objects have their own vibe so to speak........its kinda neat to see and feel really, Ive never seen anything that wasn't there, you don't just conjure up stuff and it appears, just alters how you see what's already there------wanna have real scary F'd up hallucinations, that's pcp

It's not for everyone. As with other psycho-kinetic accessories, moderation is important. You have to decide for yourself if it's right for you. If you keep it around for two years while making up your mind, the answer is likely no. I suspect that long term abuse is not a good idea.

I would not attempt to explain the feeling to an inexperienced person anymore than I would tell a blind man what the elephant looks like. I will say that if you are in Vermont on a moonlit night in February, a no headlights ride down a steep hill in two feet of fresh snow is more interesting with than without.
