View Full Version : The Official BikeForums.net t-shirt poll
5. and 6. blowsors.
Especially 5. - because I'm a singlespeed guy, and there are no double chainrings on any of my bikes. If I wore skuch a T-shirt, that would be as if I spat in the face of all that's good about cycling.
SS tandems?

SS tandems?
I don't own the tandem, but yes, that's going to be converted to singlespeed, on request of the owner. She likes singlespeed tandeming.

You'll want to bring a chain tool, and a spare chain.

Can we vote on the actual tshirt itself?
I vote for NO COTTON.
Something like the alert shirts would be great. High vis color, and moisture wicking
I suppose it's too late to enter? I had real design work all week and I just now got some breathing room. Here's what I had in mind (but it's not camera -ready yet):

^^ Pete Fagerlin's shirt?
^^ Pete Fagerlin's shirt?Oh, I figured we all yanked each others' chains on the MTB forum so much it was appropriate ;)
EDIT - - BTW, B&W photos are OK to screen print if they are posterized or done in a coarse line-screen Some screen printers can do up to 65-line; but most can at least do 45. And some fun gradients can be done in one pass if the screen is loaded just right.

Voted #2...really want a t-shirt that could show the GIF that Tappet's using as a sig line.

We discussed this on the tandem forum - there is no reason why a singlespeed tandem would be any less reliable than a geared one. On the countrary, it should be more reliable. Especially since I could use a 1/8" chain and stronger chainring+cog.
Anyway, it's gonna happen.

There should be some A&S or commuter specific options like:
*Bike lanes are for candyasses
*Yes, I *do* need the entire lane
*I run red lights. Don't like it? F. U.!
*Critical Mass: Fear the ruffians in spandex!
*Safety Nanny on Board
*EPA rated 6 miles/beer
*Your vehicle needs a motor? Wuss.
*This isn't a helmet, it's a bad hair day
*Don't draft me or I'll fart!
The peanut gallery has arrived. :(

<sigh> When is a t-shirt not a t-shirt?
When it's designed by committee.

Not for nothing, but I would never wear a shirt that said ".net" or ".com" anything.

If it's fixed, you'll need a spare chain. We broke a timing chain on ours once. Have you voted?
How about:
I got pwn3d on bikeforums.net for Vegas Vic and Wagathon?

Now don't get mad, but I said from the get got that I have all singlespeeds. And I repeated the word "singlespeed" one or two times more. Singlespeed is not fixed gear. I know you have powers over us common mortals, but your attention seems slightly .. umm... "not there" today?
Yes, I did vote! #2

Where are the designs?
They should be on the first page of this post, but currently they are all just the big red X.

Funny, I was connected into the DB of one of the largest medical schools in the US, and I wasn't giving the forums 100% of my attention. :D You are correct. A single speed (not fixed) tandem would be pretty sweet, now that I think about it.
Can anyone see the images right now?

I was afraid to ask that same question.
Anyone?

I could see them, too. They're more than visible, they're big and loud, on the limit of being obtrusive :D
Maybe the're just messing with your head.

I like #2 with the crest because it would match my old and classic bicycles better than the other designs. :)

btw... i TOTALLY would have voted for the lolcat one.. I still want to.. you should add it and then I will change my vote.. but since the lolcat is unavailable :( then 9 is the best.. 5 is good, but it doesn't have a boneshaker in it ;) (and all my bikes only have one chainring!)

Well, #6 wouldn't be bad, if it wasn't for the text. I mean, do we really have to list all the subforums on a T-shirt?
The sturdy chain, otherwise, isn't a bad idea. As is, it looks like an eccessive (in the wrong sense) commercial.

Ok, there is a green number in the lower left corner. That is the number for the image you are voting for. If I forgot anything, let me know ASAP.
We'll give it about a week or so depending on the responses. Sucks if you have dial-up. :o

You talking about those shirts? They all look the same to me.Just boxes with red X's in them.
I should have known. Whenever I used this site to host my ebay images, their server crapped. Today, I tried logging into my cpanel, only to see that my domain name is up for sale. Surprise!
So I switched to another host, the one I use for my blog. Pictures should be back, and please visit my blog too, I could use the traffic on a weekend.
