Southern California - October Workshops at the Bicycle Kitchen

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

This is the place that offers female bike maintenance classes, yes? I've heard good things about them. Thanks for the link.

How do you know if the bike is female?

She doesn't roll over and pass out or leave me once I've ridden her, she responds well to my moods, and she is more petite than other bikes. How else?

She throws you off onto the road if you call her by the wrong name?

And you can't ride her for two days out of every month?

Number one, I would never call her by the wrong name. She's too good to me and riding her is unlike any other. And as for the two days out of the month...she, like me, hasn't any issue with that. :D But don't go making fun of our "puffy" saddles or you'll get an ear load.

My saddle isn't puffy. But then again, I have no puff to support. :(

I've never been to the Kitchen. Do they serve coffee?

Wow, thanks again, Alice. I didn't even know about that place and in lieu of begging Bob to use his bike stand or paying my bike shop for maintenance, I could go check the Oven out. :)

Saturday 1-4 is BOXX...our Ladies day...
Hey stand time used to be free before the big move into the new space...but it's still a deal at $5 donation per hour with free assistance from a wrench...

Well, I'm not kidding. I may come up there and try it. I need to start lubing my chain and so forth on a regular basis. I might even learn a thing or two. ;)
EDIT: OH, and $5/hour is CHEAP!:)

The Oven is close by as well. I may ride out there on a Saturday afternoon. It's been a while since I've last explored that area of Highland Park by bike.

There's a fairly new place in Santa Monica, too. Notice a theme in all their names...?
