How is the signal quality on this setup? A search on wireless did not yield any info. I have heard it does not work well below freezing. Has anybody had any other issues with the quality of the signal or reliablity on the unit in general?

Check out Road Cycling and racing sub forum. From what I read here seems to be hit and miss. Some people have no problems others have data loss.

Does anyone know if any Powertap Wireless is compatible with the new Garmin Edge wireless stuff?

Garmin claims "innovative ANT + Sport wireless technology" whatever that means, but I want to know as soon as someone tests them together, or when someone gets positive confirmation that it will work.

The garmin Edge 705 shows release in 4Q 2007, and is 2.4 Ghz wireless, like the Powertap 2.4 ghz wireless hub. The pair, would mean accurate power, HRM, cadence, position, ... with no wires anywhere!!

Truly, power vs. heart rate should be a measure of efficiency, as well as power vs. speed would be a measure of efficiency/technique. Maximizing either one would make you a more fit and more efficient cyclist.
