Mountain Biking - Fall is definately here.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Probably my favorite season out of the 4 to ride in. Love the smell of the air, the colors the trees get make pinning it through singletrack even more enjoyable. It's not too hot, not too cold. Weather is somewhat stable.

Try 6 months of winter, and 6 months of spring/fall with 2 weeks of summer...for weather (and my health but thats another story) this year sucked.
And this coming from a guy who likes riding in the rain with some good temp rainforest action.

Woot...time to put the rain tires on!
I like autumn better too.
It just turned summer here, about a week ago it really hit.
This is australia too, you really feel an australian summer when youre fangin' through the bush.
What the hel lare you guys talking about...... it's Spring now, you guys must be in some weird land where up is down and it rains from the ground or something.
Weather has been great for riding here, 17 celsius and cloud is awsome but we had a huge downpour at a race last weekend. 14 celsius and rain don't go well on a freshly built super steep one off track (Forrestry SA only gave persmission for the track to be built and used for this weekend).
What a wast of a track!
Anyway - theyre in the USA, this is a predominantly US forum. Youre in Radelaide, im in Perth. Dang its hot here.

...and with Fall, so passes Halloween. quite possibly the world's bestest holiday. :)
I live in Bellevue, Washington, it rains EVERYDAY, as usual, I hate it.

You haven't lived until you've raced on a dark dead end road during a snow/ice storm after drinking heavily on New Year's Eve. But aside from that, I agree, I could do without the winter.

Fall has always been my favorite time of the year.
I'm flying up to Maryland in two weeks and I can wait to enjoy the fallness of the northeast for a week.
Winters in Texas are not that bad :D :p

I love riding in the fall, until hunting season. The hunters around here arn't too friendly and after they have a few beers I start looking like a deer &)

I second that statement.
went for a bike ride this past weekend. i absolutely agree with you. fall is the best season to ride. and i don't mind that winter follows because then i get to snowboard (which i enjoy more).
i hate biking in 90 degree weather. especially with the humidity. ugh. (yes, i have a vagina).

don't forget to bring your camera on the next ride and post your pictures to the forums. I wanna see some Northern foiliage without actually traveling and bringing the bike.

Ha, we skipped summer into fall and now we are skipping fall into winter. Check out the webcams. We already have 30cm (almost a foot for you yanks) of snow up top to about half way down our mountains.

I love how the thick leaves cover the roots and rocks so I'm only reminded they're there when my front wheels bounce sideways off them.

I went out today and snagged a few pics from NC. The colors are just kinds starting and there are a few on the ground. I wont be long until all the rocks and roots will be hidden.

I was making a joke about that. The track was built in a pine plantation, the one we used last year has had the pine trees cut down for the mill so they made a new one for this year. However forrestry is stupidly paranoid and we were only legally allowed to ride there over the Sat and Sun of race day. They were even pretty sketchy about letting us walk the track on the Friday!

This is what we are coming out of now

In a couple of weeks the whole track will be a giant dust ball again. Here are a couple of pics of what it looks like in transtition.

(This is same jump as second one above)
http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c178/Hopper890/HenryWall.jpg
It will then after about 3 or so weeks end up looking pretty similar to this:

His shot of me. The fallen leaf cover on the landing going into the lefthand corner afterwards made then hitting the booter right afterwards a bit tougher than normal.

Getting it while able.
Serious commitment on this one. The approach to get uptop is sketchy, and you lose all momentum getting there. Balance required.
