Introductions - new here

hey all. i just got a real bike. well, a sorta real bike. it's better than the walmart bicycles anyway. it a peugeot. probably mis-spelled that. i use to love my bike when i was a kid. i put 30 miles on a huffy in one day. now i'm older and gaining weight i figured i'd get into the bike thing again. 2 years ago i was 6'1" and 160 lbs. i just hit 200 lbs. but it's not all fat. is it??? I road race motorcycles too and the extra weight is a real kick in the ares on the track. so i'm not only getting fatter, but slower as well.
so there's a quick little bit of info. please have sympathy on me and the many redundantly ignorant questions i'm sure to be asking in the very near future.

Sell it/them and buy a brand new road bicycle or two.

I'm going to give you a bonus point for having spelt Peugeot correctly, and encourage you to get some photos to post in the Classic & Vintage section. You did say this was a classic, correct?

Would you consider a 1984 to be a classic? If so, then yes, it’s a classic. It’s still really nice; by my standards anyway. It’s been gone through by a local shop and everything is in tiptop shape. It beats the heck out of the mountain bike I’ve been riding. It hasn’t jumped out of gear yet and it actually changes gears when I ask it to.
As of now I have 6 race bikes. I am selling them this year and replacing with new and should have plenty left over to throw at a better bike if I decide to stick with this. I picked it up Sunday and already have logged 57 miles. But with winter coming on, I can see my willingness to get out going to the back burner.
The only thing I can really say thus far is that my butt hurts. Really bad.

And what’s wrong with motorcycles? I do wheelies past the bicyclists I pass on the street. It’s a nice way of saying hello.

Yes, the C & V forum would consider 1984 to be a good vintage :) .
