I have been thinking about buying one of the 4200 maH NImh 7.2V battery packs at Batteryspace. But I didn't want to spend all that much on it and with the charger it was over 50 bucks. Then i found this charger in the garage. It is a Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-416 4.8V, 6.0 V, 7.2V, 9.6V, Ni-cd/Hi-Mh charger.

Can i use it? I can't seem to find much info on it online.

Edit---I'm thinking not. Here is the manual. http://www.radioshack.com/graphics/uc/rsk/Support/ProductManuals/2300416_PM_EN.pdf

I don't think the amps are high enough. :(

Or maybe it is...i'll keep researching. Any thoughts?

If the charger is in working condition and you know what your doing, it should work. But since you have to ask, i don't think you are very confident with your knowledge.

This will charge a 7.2v pack with ease... it will just take a little longer.

I understand electronics well enough but I am just not certain if the current output of the charger is significant. Looking that the charger (http://www.batteryspace.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=3005) that battery space recommends for this pack (http://www.batteryspace.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2903), it says that the charger should be set on the 2 amp rating for batteries over 2000 mAh. The charger in my possession only says 1.5 amp. So thus my concern.
