Foo - Back to square one....again....

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

You only get so many chances in life...make that only so many "second" chances....
Due to circumstances of my own creation, I find myself sans Bianchi roadie and once again...rolling along on my original Sirrus... I said goodbye to my Giro tonight....for a price that I was forced to take...but I think the young man will treat her right and she will grace the roads of UC Davis for the next couple of years...
I'm gonna miss being a roadie...

I'm sorry man.. Hey, I don't mean to make you feel any worse, but I live in relative poverty (infact I've only 20 bones to my name until friday/payday). . but I would sooner starve and go w/o beer than sell one of my bikes.. why this act of desparation? (unless, it's impolite to ask.. if so, I apologise).

I've got a little over a dollar in change. Count yourself lucky. ;)

Isnt there a social safety net payment you could apply for? Oh wait its America...
Anyway I am sorry to hear of anyone having to sell their bikes. Kind of made me think about my own situation and what 'order' I would sell my things. Gym memberships, coaches, physios, health insurance, internet connection etc would be first things to go. Then I'd do a big ebay listing of clothes, tennis racquets or whatever. I'd sell my fridge before my road bike. Hell I'd sell my body for 'sexytime' before my bikes! (That oughta rake in an extra $0.03)
Dauphin, at least take solace in the good that the money will do for your kids. I hope that your sacrifice is rewarded by an increase in income that allows you to get a new roadie.

I understand this all too well, IRS and I are tight right now and will be for the next 4 years. :(

Oh. :(
Sit back, find something that will help increase cash flow and, most importantly, stand up and do it.
Good luck. :)

Sh1t you'd have 3 cents more than me. I'd have to pay for sexytime, so I'd be worse off. :(

Dauphin, I was in a bad place right after my accident, but it worked out and now I'm looking at toys again.:)
Things change in time, sometimes drastically. It works both ways.
