first tandem

researching for our first tandem purchase. Lots of info on the web. Bikes from Thorn and Dawes look promising and close to our 1000 dollar budget...yeah I know thats not much.
Looking for suggestions. we live in sweden and have really just begun to look around.

we went through the same process. budget of $1200
and by word of mouth...a cycling shop recommended a friend who was selling a tandem. it was a good buy!

ten years later, we still ride "houdini" on extended tours.
