My Nexus is not a coaster brake, and I'm not riding ANYwhere without a front brake. I'm not sure why you'd think those dual pivots wouldn't stop the bike well, and with that much reach, they don't need an extension of any sort.

I have a pipe bender, but you need to be REALLY careful bending ali, it doesn't like it. Ideally, it's supposed to be heat treated after bending.

hey got some old Raleighs
Ive been messing with RSWs. One has an s3b rear hub. Look on Strumley Archers website. Its a small drum brake 3 speed hub. Hardly looks different from a AW hub. Was thinking of building it into a alloy rim for a BSA 20 I have.
But the 20 has an A3G dynohub, drilled for 28 spokes. So was thinking of putting that hub in a 405 rim.
The lights on it are fantastic.

Strumey Archer was owned by Raleigh for most of the time. Not now. So Raleigh could get any drilling of hub they wanted. But the rear hubs on old roadsters was usually 40 hole. The fronts were 32. So its difficult to use the older rear hubs. Unless you want to track down 40 hole rims. Its more common these days for wheels to be 36 spoke. Ive got SA hubs in 20 28 36 40. Think the 20 hole ones are from a 16" kids bike.
Got a couple of the full size drum brake hubs too. They use simmilar hubshells as the Dynamo versions.
Gotta be very carefull when fiddling with those Dyno hubs. They cah demagnetise, just like that

Looks different to all the other R20's I've seen. There are no tubes coming up from the BB to the maim tube. The rear dropouts look different also. Was this a latter R20 variant?

This is based on the NZ assembled R20s. They didn't have the tubes from the BB to the main tube. I haven't seen many of the UK R20s with the twin tubes in NZ, but have seen heaps of the local ones.

Wait! Found 'em. I think I'd better order these ASAP before they drop off the planet altogether. Up to 69mm drop.

I found another online supplier (Spa Cycles) that has them in stock, and ordered a pair, and then I found a guy with a set for trade on another site, so I'm pursuing that as well. I can imagine it being useful having such a thing around....
