I do know that there is a way that I could do my school and work by bike. I actually did so from March this year until now and I wish I still could. Believe me, I hate spending $10 on gas now worse then ever! But when it come down to me showing up for school smelling like fried rice and sweat. I think that right now I am going to choose to clean up and ride the scooter for now. Maybe once temps get down below 85 degrees with 90% humidity, then yes I look very much forward to getting back on the bike.

Also I do know that being exposed to the elements does "desensitize" you to extremes. I used to hang drywall and now Im a cook. I know about some heat :)

So it's more a scheduling conflict. You don't have time to shower the wok grease off and still make it to class. I remember that college scheduling conflicts only last one term and next semester you'll have a different conflict. Good luck with your studies. BTW, it was hotter than that here in northern Michigan today.

And yet... we have members over in the commuting forum that commute daily in Australia. ;)

I did it too. But I was spoiled by the California coastal weather, which is much milder than Australia.

Roody, my co-worker had an old steel MTB with nearly flat tires. He didn't smell so good.

I average about 10 miles per PB&J sandwich on the bike usually. And roughly 12 miles per bottle of water.

anyone who drives a car even once in their life is a loser.

Al Gore would kick you in the balls for that.

Al Gore lives off of oxygen and travels by way of magic carpet. He lives and breathes saving the earth with no political motivations at all.

Al Gore lived so we can live. Praise be to Al Gore.
