In the "Odd Gifts" thread AprilM mentioned loving "The Last Unicorn" (never heard of it, but looks like a kids movie). It got me to thinking, those of us in teens or adults are technically past the age where kids movies "do it" for us, but everybody has at least one kids movies they just LOVED as a kid and never really got over.
What kids movie do you still just LOVE?
Mine: Disney's "The Sword In The Stone"

Kids movie?
Sure, why not? My almost 3 year old loves quoting the "Le Big Mac" scene whenever we go through the McD's drive thru.
:p
I'm kidding! I would never let my kids watch that movie.... not at least until they are 6.
When my daughter was 3 or so, I had thought she was safely taking a nap. I popped in "Predator" and promptly fell asleep. When I woke, there she was sitting on the end of the couch totally entrhalled and focused on Arnold and his fight to the death with the Alien guy.
She never had nightmares she told me about. And as far as I know, she has not turned into an ax murderer. But as a parent at the time, I beat myself up for awhile about it.
The Secret of NIMH.

Nightmare before Christmas
MV gives it 2 thumbs up!
I loved The Brave Little Toaster and The Land Before Time (The first one, not the hundred and seventy five sequels) growing up. I haven't seen either in years, but I bet I'd still like them.
I really did put some thought into this, and I find that the movies I liked as a kid no longer really hold any appeal for me. Maybe after seeing them so many times over the last 40 years I have become jaded.
I never have been a really huge fan of movies though. I enjoy going to the theatre and seeing a movie, but once seen, I have no real desire to see many of them ever again. I seldom buy a movie on tape or digital media.
If pushed, I would have to say old Bing Crosby movies like Going My Way or The Bells of St. Mary's carry more meaning to me than any others. Those and Sydney Portier in Lilies of the Field.
