Hi everybody! It's nice and sunny over here. I think I might go riding to the beach. Or, maybe up into the hills. I'm so lucky to live here, it's like living in paradise. Okay, now that I've rubbed in the fact that biking in SoCal (Southern California for those of you who are geographically challenged) is an awesome experience every day, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Rob, aka mad_one52 (Madone 5.2), and I love riding my new road bike. Before I got my road bike I was riding a hybrid for about 2 1/2 years. Boy, what a difference! I'm never going back to a comfort bike. Not only that, but I'm already thinking about making some upgrades to my Madone. Although the stock components that came with it are cool, it would be nice to add some Dura-Ace components to an already RAD ride. Maybe, Santa Claus will be nice to me this year and bring me a high performance 10 speed cassette! One can only hope. I've been a good boy, why wouldn't he? Any way, I can't help but love my bike and riding it is so much fun too. I find, I'm wanting to be out riding ALL the time. Once I'm done with one trip, I'm already thinking about my next trip out. I've definitely caught the bug! Well, thanks for checking out my greeting. See you on the road. Bye from SoCal, mad_one52.

Hello Rob, rather than waste more time here, I'll just tell you to get and and ride some more.

Welcome to BF!

Greetings and Salutations!!!

SoCal is a great place to ride, even if the car drivers never look out for us. I hope to see you on the road!

Detachable Member Hello -
I know what you mean about the cars not looking out for bikers. I try not to place my life in my own hands on those public roads. Right now I stick to the river bike paths. Ride more and have fun!
