Hi -
I have a fixed gear bike that I bought used with a painted over frame. I would like to know what kind of frame it is. The only marks on the outside are below the bottom bracket it says "modele depose" other than that I can't find anything.
Any help on what to look for/how to identify it?
Thanks,
Max

'modele depose' is just french for 'registered trademark' or something similar.
i guess that tells you the bike is french.. maybe gitane or motobecane.
hard to tell anything without any markings...
browse through the fixed gear gallery http://www.fixedgeargallery.com/ (not necessarily because it's fixed gear but more because there are lots of pics of older frames there) and see if you can find a french bike that looks like yours...
other than that, i don't know.

Post a pic of it, with close up of the lugs, and drop outs. Also, the cranks (by chance).
