One thing I really love about BMX is that aesthetically there's no fear. MTBers think they're progressive and everything, but BMX was the first stream to introduce pink parts, and heck, even now you can get many BMX parts in brown whereas ironically in MTBland there's basically nothing.

Modern BMXers have embraced a real stripped down, distressed urban sensibility, whereas MTB's are only just starting to break out from their roadie boy-racer shirt and tie....twenty years later!
