Anyone ridden this? Evidently it is quite a large ride. Last year Cuda2k had it on a short list of rides including the HHH. Any comments on: route, support, size (number of riders)……

I'm riding it, but this is my first year. A friend of mine enjoyed enough last year to do it again.
This looks like a blast. I'm trying to find someone to do it with and maybe split a motel room with.
I plan to ride it too, but my ride back to Austin will be out of town that weekend, so I'm trying to figure out logistics.
They have buses, for an additional $15. The upside is you can drink all the beer you want.
6. How do I get home from New Braunfels? Bus service back to Austin will be available per person. Registration deadline for bus service TBA. Help us make sure you have a ride back to Austin (if you need one) - register early!
7. How does my bike get home? If you have registered for return transportation, you need to check your bike in when you arrive in Landa Park at the end of the ride. It will immediately be wrapped and packed carefully onto a truck. The truck will return to Austin. Bikes will be left in Austin at the starting point with a member of the event staff who will return it to you when you arrive back in Austin. There is no extra charge for trucking bikes.
I rode it last year and had a good time. I used the "bag shuttle" service so I could change clothes once I got to the finish. There were no showers which was a disappointment. My family met me afterwards and we went the Wurstfest, which is a lot of fun...if you like beer, sausage and German music! Obviously, I didn't have to use the return shuttle.
As far as the ride itself, I think clocked it at just under 62 miles. The ride is very well marked and the rest stops were easy to access and had more than enough variety to satisfy any cravings. This is NOT a "Hill Country" ride...no long, difficult climbs...more gently rolling hills. It wasn't an issue last year but the wind can really be a pain. The ride is primarily south and that's typically the direction the wind's coming from here in Central TX. I've heard previous years that people have just flat out quit because of it. Last year it was, maybe, 10 - 15 mph max.
It is a great ride. A lot of fun, put together well, good support, etc. It is a fast ride with little to no hills and not too many people. The only issue I had with it was the end. There is free beer and brauts for riders, but the line is so long it is not even worth getting the free stuff. Last year the weather was great and the way the trend looks now it should be just as nice. Hope to see you all out there!
Hold on ...no line is too long for FREE BEER!
That said, this looks like a sweet ride. I am going to look into attending.

I used to think that prior to doing this ride, but the line lastyear was way too long for me. I ride in the Shiner BASH every year and they have several lines for beer and grub. Wurstride only had one. Hopefully they will either get more lines, or break the food and beer line up. See you all there!!!
Looks like great weather this year for the ride!!! Is everyone still in?
Hoping to make it. Have had some stuff come up that may make it difficult, but I'm still going to try.
Wind- Out of the NNW 7-12 mph! Should be a fast one again!
Looks like is going to be a great ride. My plans have changed and I will not make it. Enjoy!
Wurstcross was great! Good fast riders, no injury crashes and 30 riders for the 4-3 race. thanks to camino real club for the fine afternoon and don't forget the CARLTONS sausage was great 'on a stick or tortilla. thanks tobin
Great ride this year!! A new MUST ride for all riders. Good pace, good crowd. Hope to see you guys out there next year. What's the next ride this year?
