Umm... have you seen the show "Pick-Up Artist", hosted by some foofy club guy dressed like he's heading out to Burning Man? The existence of the Don Juan forum doesn't surprise me at all. I'd bet that a lot of the people posting there own foofy Burning Man guy's books on how to pick up chicks.

He, or his PR crew and accountants, are shrewd businessmen. They know of an easily exploitable market, and they've chosen to take that exploitation to new heights. Smart? Mmmmmaybe. He's good at reading people, but so are most con-artists. He's smart in the sense that any confidence artist is smart. He's got the armchair psychologist understanding of behaviour and is able to convince a group of people with low self esteem and poor social skills that he's the smartest man in the world and that for a fee, he can teach them everything he knows.

Could be tough to find. There's probably a lot of people with just one name: "Mystery" in the L.A. phonebook.

Yeah, take any one of those outfits, cover it in really shaggy mohair and add an oversized fuzzy mohair top hat. That's him alright.

There's a guy here on BF that is/was a regular on that forum and others like it. I think is name is something like "djslt" or some other nonsense.
He got called out on here once and some other poster dug up the dirt on him from that forum, the thread was quite funny.
BRB, gonna try and find it.

Yes, and then he created a sock puppet a couple of months after he was banned. The moron didn't even bother to change his writing style, so of course he was quickly found out.
