Hello, I'm 52 years old and got back into biking last year after a 35 year hiatus. I commute to work 12 miles round trip when it's not raining or icy. I was taught "vehicular" cycling in England in 1963 at the ripe old age of 8. Rode in England, Saskatchewan, and upstate NY until age 17 when I got a car. Now I'm concerned about weight, blood pressure, and cholesterol. I figure cycling is not boring like indoor exercise plus the hour per day it takes me is only 1/2 hr after subtracting time not spent driving. The bike is an early 1970s Columbia Tourist with Brooks saddle, Sturmey-Archer AW, and home brew lighting system. 3 speeds rule!
