Bicycle Mechanics - Cyclocomputer Wheel magnet

I have a Lemond with this spoke configuration front wheel (spokes do not cross anywhere). Does anyone know what cyclocomputer has a wheel magnet that will fit these spokes? (spokes are also flat)

I have the same wheels, and the shimano flight deck magnet is compatible with them. The only trick is the magnet needs to go at the very end of the spoke, near the rim. The spoke is round at that point. I assume other magnets would be fine on the round section as well, its the same profile there as a regular spoke.

Just so you know a magnet is a magnet and the brand of magnet doesn't have to match your cyclocomputer.

Magnets is magnets. Go to an LBS and pick one up for a couple of bucks.

The magnet that came with my Vetta computer works fine on bladed spokes.

Go to the Radio Shack and pick up one of those teensy tiny rare earth magnets.

Glue it to the spoke with some 60-minute epoxy.

It's looks less obtrusive, and it's lighter and more aero so you'll go 0.000625 mph faster.

When it comes time to remove it, hit it with a heat gun until the epoxy gets brittle.

0.000625mph gain! holy crap i better go get some rare-earth magnets because my weight seems to be slowing me down!

I have a magnet from specialized that fits aero spokes. i think the trick is to put it on the rounded part and slide it down onto the bladed section of the spoke, then tighten screw as normal.

a lot easier to go to your lbs though :) my lbs didnt carry them so i ordered them online with, what else, a spare computer :)

I'm not sure if it will work with your wheels, but there is a Shimano bladed spoke magnet available from Jenson USA for about $8.00. It just clips on bladed spokes and stays in place fine.

Most are made with a slot for bladed spokes and round spokes. $5 tops at the LBS.

That sucks dude. I know these other guys are trying to be helpful, but the truth of the matter is that you're going to have to buy a new bike and wheels to fit your magnet.
